The characteristics of the environments may differ across cultures. Vaihto-opiskelijat tulevat Suomeen opiskelemaan usein sen takia että suomalaiset osaavat niin hyvin englantia. Suomalaisiin tutustuminen koetaan kuitenkin erittäin haastavaksi. Yhteyksien puuttuminen vaihto-opiskelijoiden ja suomalaisten välillä onkin yksi suurimmista epäkohdista Suomessa opiskelemisessa. Miten englanninkielisen opintotarjonnan perässä tulevat vaihto-opiskelijat saataisiin lähemmäksi suomalaista kulttuuria ja yhteiskuntaa? Yksi ratkaisu löytyy kielikursseista.
