Artikkelissa tarkastellaan kielitaidon taitotasoittaista kehittymistä potentiaalisten esiintymien analyysin (Potential Occasion Analysis, Thewissen, 2015) avulla. Kehittymistä analysoidaan tarkkuuden näkökulmasta, ja sitä mitataan kohdekielen muoto- ja käyttökonventioista poikkeavien muotojen määrällä. Integrity of industrial pipework is ensured through routine inspection. Internal visual inspection tools are capable of characterising degradation in the form of corrosion, pitting, erosion and cracking. The accuracy of such inspection systems has a direct impact on decisions regarding the remaining lifetime of the asset. By minimising error margins, the asset may be operated with confidence for longer, with less uncertainty. In this chapter, we study effects caused by incompletely known data. In practice, the data are never known exactly, therefore the results generated by a mathematical model also have a limited accuracy. Then, the whole subject of error analysis should be treated in a different manner, and accuracy of numerical solutions should be considered within a framework of a more complicated scheme, which includes such notions as maximal and minimal distances to the solution set and its radius.

The present dissertation focuses on the fluency of second and foreign language (L2). Second and foreign language use is often assessed by its fluency. However, the connections between language proficiency and fluency are far from clear. The fluency reasearch has tried to establish these connections, but results are varied. In the current thesis, this question is explored within the theoretical framework of Norman Segalowitz’s division of three types of fluency: cognitive, utterance, and perceived fluency. Angļu valodas centralizētais eksāmens 12. klasei sastāv no atsevišķām sadaļām katras valodas prasmes pārbaudei, bet rakstīšanas daļa sevī ietver vairāku prasmju pārbaudi. Rakstīšana un gramatika ir cieši saistītas. Šī pētījuma mērķis ir reģistrēt un klasificēt 12. klases skolēnu pieļautās gramatiskās kļūdas 2014. un 2015. gada centralizēto angļu valodas eksāmenu esejās. Diskursa analīze ir galvenā šī darba pētījuma metode. Pētījuma ietvaros tika analizētas simts esejas un noteiktas tajās esošās biežākās gramatiskās kļūdas un to cēloņi. Pētījuma rezultāti rāda, ka visbiežāk pieļautās gramatiskās kļūdas ir nepareizs artikulu lietojums, lietvārda un darbības vārda saskaņošana un nepareiza vārd…
