The coronavirus epidemic has become a completely unexpected challenge for the pastoral activity of the Church. The introduced restrictions on the number of the faithful who can participate in the parish liturgy and in some countries even the complete closure of places of worship, resulted in a new perception of the role of media broadcasts of the Eucharist. The article presents the history of introducing television broadcasts of the Holy Mass and the related and variously solved problem of the place where such a liturgy is celebrated. Asyryjski Kościół Wschodu jest jedną z najbardziej oryginalnych, tj. znacznie różniącą się od pozostałych, wspólnot chrześcijańskich. Różnice te dotyczą wielu aspektów, wśród których znajduje się również dyscyplina sakramentalna. Jednym z jej fenomenów jest tradycja sakramentu świętego zaczynu, bez którego nie można ważnie przygotować przyszłego Chleba eucharystycznego. Tradycja Kościoła Wschodu przypisuje tej praktyce pochodzenie apostolskie.
