A dynamic analysis of SP 500, FTSE 100 and EURO STOXX 50 indices under different exchange rates.

2018

In this study, we assess the dynamic evolution of short-term correlation, long-term cointe-gration and Error Correction Model (hereafter referred to as ECM)-based long-term Granger causality between each pair of US, UK, and Eurozone stock markets from 1980 to 2015 using the rolling-window technique. A comparative analysis of pairwise dynamic integration and causality of stock markets, measured in common and domestic currency terms, is conducted to evaluate comprehensively how exchange rate fluctuations affect the time-varying integration among the S&P 500, FTSE 100 and EURO STOXX 50 indices. The results obtained show that the dynamic correlation, cointegration and ECM-based long-run Gra…

Rolling Over EUAs and CERs

2012

Whatever derivative contract has a finite life limited by their maturity. The construction of long series, however, is of interest for academic, hedging and investments purposes. In this study, we analyze the relevance of the choice of the rollover date on European Union Allowances (EUAs) and Certified Emissions Reduction (CERs) futures contracts. We have used five different methodologies to construct long series and the results show that, regardless of the criterion applied, there are not significant differences between the resultant return distribution series. Therefore, the least complex method, which is to roll on the last trading day, can be used in order to reach the same conclusions.…

Contatti di popoli ed etnogenesi delle tribù nomadi sahariane

2006

The contribution focuses on the problem of mobility in the Roman world as a means of contact and collaboration. North Africa was in ancient times a land of cultural exchange, of passage of peoples and people. The research dwells on local identities, studies the origins of these peoples, discusses and tries to understand the ancient dynamics, which led them to clash and meet.

Dynamics of the Comparative Advantages in Romanian Exports Compared to the European Union

2013

Abstract The main objective of this paper is to prove if the dynamics of the comparative advantages in Romania in the period of time 2000- 2011 has any convergence potential and if the specialization of production capacities has suffered modifications. For the study of the comparative advantage dynamics in Romanian exports compared to the European Union in the period of time 2000-2011, we analysed the modifications in the structure of the sections included in the Combined Nomenclature for national exports and we calculeted the Balassa and the Dalum indexes. In order to emphasize the convergence and the stability in time of the export structure we used the econometric tools specific to the r…

Inhibition of in vitro reconstitution of rotavirus transcriptionally active particles by anti-VP6 monoclonal antibodies

1994

International audience; Six monoclonal antibodies specific for the major capsid protein of rotavirus, VP6, previously characterized, were tested in a biological assay for their capacity to block the transcriptase activity associated with the single-shelled particles. The results showed that two MAbs (RV-50 and RV-133), specific for distinct antigenic sites, were able to block the transcription when they were incubated with a purified baculovirus-expressed group A VP6, prior to the reconstitution of the single-shelled particles from the cores, suggesting that at least two domains are involved in active single-shelled particle reconstitution. The results obtained previously from immunochemist…

Krievijas akciju tirgus pievilcības novērtējums salīdzinājumā ar ASV akciju tirgu

2021

Akciju tirgus ir svarīga ekonomikas sastāvdaļa. Mūsdienās ASV akciju tirgus tiek uzskatīts par lielāko pasaulē. Pasaulē ir pietiekami attīstīti akciju tirgi, tomēr ne visi no tiem tiek pietiekami novērtēti. Šī pētījuma mērķis ir pierādīt ka Krievijas akciju tirgus nav pietiekami novērtēts, veicot Krievijas akciju tirgus salīdzinošo analīzi ar ASV akciju tirgu. Izvērtēt Krievijas akciju tirgus pozitīvās un negatīvās īpašības.. Pirmajā nodaļā tiek analizēta akciju tirgus teorētiskie pamati. Otrajā nodaļā tiek aprakstīti Krievijas un ASV akciju tirgi, to vēsturiskā attīstība. Trešajā nodaļā tiek analizēta Krievijas akciju tirgus darbība un to ietekmējošie faktori.

Yeast contains multiple forms of histone acetyltransferase.

1989

We have assayed several methods to quantitatively recover yeast histone acetyltransferases in an attempt to study the multiplicity of enzymatic activities. Two methods, namely (NH4)2SO4 precipitation and salt dissociation of chromatin in 0.5 M NaCl, yielded convenient preparations of total histone acetyltransferases. DEAE-Sepharose chromatography of the crude extracts resulted in the separation of three peaks of activity when total yeast histones were used as substrate. However, the scanning of the enzymatic activity toward individual histones along the chromatography, achieved by determining the specific activity of the individual histones after incubating whole histones and [14C]acetyl-Co…
