The homeland association movement in Germany is an important element of the social and political landscape of that country. The importance of this movement and its influence upon the political system of Germany underwent evolution. This essay examines the novel Seltsame Sterne starren zur Erde (2003) of the Turkish-German author Emine Sevgi Özdamar and the collection of essays In Deutschland leben (2004) of Iranian-German poet SAID. The focus of this work intends to show what different aspects multiculturalism may have at each different writers. Özdamar was born in Malatya in 1946. She woked in Germany as an actress, director and writer and became the symbol of a bridge-builder between the eastern and western culture.
