The article is a synthetic essay that exposes the main theoretical lines of the postmarxist approach of Laclau and Mouffe, on the one hand, and the autonomist post-operaism of Negri, Hardt, Virno, etc., on the other hand. These theories are conceived as attempts to rationalize current political bets by various political sectors and social movements. Experiences with technology often are described as exciting and outstanding, for instance, in relation to novel technologies at home or at work. In this article, we aim to complement this perspective by emphasizing people’s mundane and ordinary experiences with technology, that is, unremarkable experiences happening in the background of people’s attention. The World Hobbit Project in Finland : Audience responses and transmedial user practices

This article examines audience engagement with The Hobbit fantasy film trilogy as a participatory and transmedial experience. To do so, we use the data collected by The World Hobbit Project in order to investigate the transmedial user practices of the Finnish audience of the trilogy. We will, firstly, look at what kinds of transmedial user practices – and transmedia users – emerge from our data. Global connectedness in higher education : student voices on the value of cross-cultural learning dialogue

The study explores how sense of global connectedness can be enhanced by creating opportunities for cross-cultural dialogue in higher education. Thematic analysis of randomly selected 15 learning journals, students’ reflections on their learning during an international seminar was used to identify students’ significant learning experiences. The results emphasise the added value of diversity (geographical, disciplinary, cultural and social) among students, faculty and invited presenters for creating meaningful learning.
