87RbNMR spectra of hydrogen-bondedRb3D(SO4)2andRb3H(SO4)2crystals
1999
The paraelectric and antiferroelectric phases of ${\mathrm{Rb}}_{3}{\mathrm{D}(\mathrm{S}\mathrm{O}}_{4}{)}_{2}$ and ${\mathrm{Rb}}_{3}{\mathrm{H}(\mathrm{S}\mathrm{O}}_{4}{)}_{2}$ were investigated using rubidium NMR. The angle dependence of the second order quadrupole shifted central ${}^{87}\mathrm{Rb}$ transitions was recorded at 300 K. It was found to be in full agreement with the symmetry elements of a monoclinic $A2/a$ structure. The temperature dependence of the magnitude and asymmetry of the electrical field gradient (EFG) tensors at the Rb sites was determined using powder samples and revealed no differences between protonated and deuterated specimens. The antiferroelectric transi…
Forecasting container transshipment in Germany
2009
International audience; In this paper, we examine container transshipment at German ports using the seasonal ARIMA (SARIMA) model and the Holt-Winters exponential smoothing approach. Our models are designed especially to take account of the seasonal behavior of the quarterly data used. We consider the dynamic development in this sector for the whole container throughput and also the destinations Asia, Europe and North America, which are the world's three main economic regions. Our data runs from the first quarter of 1989 to the fourth quarter of 2006. We provide detailed quarterly forecasts for the year 2007 and 2008. According to forecasting error measures such as Mean Square Error and The…
Strain-induced improvement of retention loss in PbZr0.2Ti0.8O3 films
2015
The retention behavior of nanoscale domains in PbZr0.2Ti0.8O3 thin films is investigated by in-situ controlling the epitaxial strain arising from a piezoelectric substrate. The retention behavior in our sample shows strong polarity-dependence: Upward-poled domains exhibit excellent stability, whereas downward-poled domains reveal a stretched exponential decay. Reversible release of in-plane compressive strain strongly reduced the retention loss, reflected in an enhancement of the relaxation time by up to one order of magnitude. We tentatively attribute the observed behavior to a strain dependence of the built-in field at the interface to the La0.7Sr0.3MnO3 bottom electrode, with a possible …
Fuzzy cooperative control of automated ground passenger vehicles
2007
In this paper a fuzzy motion control for cooperative passenger automated vehicles where there are not collisions between the closest ones is proposed. Based on the position of the target and on the initial position of each cooperative vehicle, a supervisory plans nonholonomic circular trajectories which are without intersections, while a fuzzy control strategy assures the asymptotical stability of the motion errors and the reaching of the target with low acceleration values along the planned trajectories. Based on the ISO 2631-1 standard, the saturation properties of the fuzzy maps guarantees low values of the longitudinal and lateral accelerations to assure the comfort of the passengers. T…
Lyapunov dimension formula for the global attractor of the Lorenz system
2016
The exact Lyapunov dimension formula for the Lorenz system for a positive measure set of parameters, including classical values, was analytically obtained first by G.A. Leonov in 2002. Leonov used the construction technique of special Lyapunov-type functions, which was developed by him in 1991 year. Later it was shown that the consideration of larger class of Lyapunov-type functions permits proving the validity of this formula for all parameters, of the system, such that all the equilibria of the system are hyperbolically unstable. In the present work it is proved the validity of the formula for Lyapunov dimension for a wider variety of parameters values including all parameters, which sati…
Multiscaling and the classification of continuous phase transitions
1992
Multiscaling of the free energy is obtained by generalizing the classification of phase transitions proposed by Ehrenfest. The free energy is found to obey a new generalized scaling form which contains as special cases standard and multiscaling forms. The results are obtained by analytic continuation from the classification scheme of Ehrenfest.
On lower-bound estimates of the Lyapunov dimension and topological entropy for the Rossler systems
2019
In this paper, on the example of the Rössler systems, the application of the Pyragas time-delay feedback control technique for verification of Eden’s conjecture on the maximum of local Lyapunov dimension, and for the estimation of the topological entropy is demonstrated. To this end, numerical experiments on computation of finite-time local Lyapunov dimensions and finite-time topological entropy on a Rössler attractor and embedded unstable periodic orbits are performed. The problem of reliable numerical computation of the mentioned dimension-like characteristics along the trajectories over large time intervals is discussed. peerReviewed
Non-fragile fuzzy control design for nonlinear time-delay systems
2013
In this paper, a non-fragile fuzzy control design is proposed for a class of nonlinear systems with mixed discrete and distributed time delays. The Takagi and Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy set approach is applied to the modelling of the nonlinear dynamics, and a T-S fuzzy model is constructed, which can represent the nonlinear system. Then, based on the fuzzy linear model, a fuzzy linear controller is developed to stabilize the nonlinear system. The control law is obtained to ensure stochastically exponentially stability in the mean square. The sufficient conditions for the existence of such a control are proposed in terms of certain linear matrix inequalities.
Exponential synchronization of master-slave neural networks with time-delays
2009
This paper establishes an exponential H ∞ synchronization method for a class of master and slave neural networks (MSNNs) with mixed time-delays, where the delays comprise different neutral, discrete and distributed time-delays and the class covers the Lipschitz-type nonlinearity case. By introducing a novel discretized Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional in order to minimize the conservatism in the stability problem of the system and also using some free weighting matrices, new delay-dependent sufficient conditions are derived for designing a delayed state-feedback control as a synchronization law in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). The controller guarantees the exponential H ∞ synchr…
H<inf>∞</inf> control of markovian switching systems with time-delays: Applied to DC-DC converters
2011
The DC-DC switching power converters are highly nonlinear systems. Consequently, the conventional linear controls based on averaging and linearization techniques will result in poor dynamic performance or system instability. In order to resolve this problem, in this paper a robust state feedback H∞ control is proposed for these systems under Markovian switching with mixed discrete, neutral and distributed delays. Based on the Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional theory, some required sufficient conditions are established in terms of delay-dependent linear matrix inequalities for the stochastic stability and stabilization of the considered system using some free matrices. The desired control is de…
