The Role of the Internet in Overcoming Information Barriers: Implications for Exporting SMEs of the East African Community

Small and medium-sized enterprises play a significant role in the East African Community, contributing highly to the national income and employing a significant number of people. Exportation provides a great opportunity for these enterprises to expand their businesses and improve their performance. However, they encounter a number of information- related barriers before and during exportation. Based on literature, this paper identifies these barriers and discusses how the internet could be used to reduce them. Based on the internet, international business and small business literature, the paper provides propositions and develops a model that will be useful for future studies in this area.

On peut vérifier que l'effet de la qualité des formations régionales influence la capacité à exporter d'une région. National audience; Confrontées à une baisse durable de la consommation de vins sur le marché national, de nombreuses entreprises du secteur vinicole français ont décidé d'accroître leurs exportations. Dans ce travail, nous analysons l'incidence de l'exportation sur la performance financière des entreprises. L'économétrie de données de panel nous permet de mettre en évidence une influence positive etsignificative de l'exportation sur la performance financière des 80 entreprises françaises de notre échantillon, au cours des années 90 (de 1991 à 1999).

Here, a set of 629 bronze palstaves excavated in northern France, belonging to Breton and Norman typological groups, was treated by (open) outline-based morphometrics with orthogonal polynomial regression.
