External cognition concerns knowledge that is embedded in our everyday lives and environment. One type of knowledge is memories, recollections of events that occurred in the past. So how do we remember them? One way this can be done is through cuing and reconstructing. These cues can be internal, in our minds, or in our everyday environment. At present all world countries are seeking to attract the cheapest way of public resources needed to cover budget deficits. This paper aims to review the five alternatives for external funding of countries faced with insufficient public funds to the state budget. It focuses on the possibilities of financing with borrowed resources. The financing alternatives are presented from the perspective of Romania's access to them, with comparative references to other European Union member states. International funding alternatives are: loans from the International Monetary Fund, World Bank, European Commission, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, European Investment Bank.

After arthroplasty, arthrodesis of the ankle joint is the most common method to treat advanced ankle osteoarthritis. The goal of the study was to assess the subjective and objective outcomes in 2 different types of fixation for ankle joint arthrodesis. We retrospectively assessed 47 patients who had undergone ankle joint arthrodesis with fixation either via an Ilizarov apparatus (group 1) (n = 21) or cannulated screws (group 2) (n = 26). External sustainability in Spanish economy: bubbles and crises, 1970–2020

We address the issue of the sustainability Spain’s exter-nal debt, using data for the period 1970–2020. To detect episodes of potentially explosive behavior of the Spanish net foreign assets over GDP ratio and the current account balance over GDP ratio, as well as episodes of external adjustments over this long period, we employ a recursive unit root test approach. Our empirical analysis leads us to conclude that there is some evidence of bubbles in the ratio between Spanish net foreign assets and the GDP.
