Effect of intravitreal injection of Indocyanine Green, Triamcinolone Acetonide and Trypan Blue on the electroretinographic response of rats

International audience; Purpose:: Indocyanine Green (ICG) and Tripan Blue (TB) are commonly used in macular surgery by making easier the internal limiting membrane (ILM) removing. However, the innocuousness of these dyes is not actually established notably for ICG. Then, several authors proposed the use of triamcinolone acetonide (TA) as an alternative to the use of intraoperative dyes for visualizing the ILM. This manuscript develops an issue related to the involvement of goal management capabilities and executive functions in this type of reasoning and its development. The first three experiments examine this issue in two tasks of analogical reasoning, the scene analogy task and the A:B::C:? task, through the study of visual strategies used by adults, and children aged 6-to-7. The goal of our studies was to test the effect of segmentation, cueing, and 2D/3D presentations to foster complex animation rocessing. The material was an upright mechanical piano system. We used an eye tracking system which provides information about learners’ attention direction during the animation processing. We analyzed the effect of the format presentations and the eye movements during learning. Based on animation and multimedia research background, four experiments were conducted. Acu kustību iekārtu IViewX RED500 un EyeLink precizitātes salīdzinājums

Darbs ir uzrakstīts latviešu valodā uz 34 lapaspusēm. Tas satur 23 attēlus, 28 atsauces uz literatūras avotiem. Darba mērķis ir novērtēt Latvijas Universitātē Optometrijas un redzes zinātnes nodaļā pieejamo acu kustību iekārtu IViewX RED500 un EyeLink 1000 Plus precizitāti. Iekārtu precizitāte tika novērtēta, izmantojot 13 pelēkus diska formas stimulus ar ārējo rādiusu 0,8° un iekšējo – 0,6°, kas tika izvietoti uz balta un melna fona. Dalībniekiem tika sniegts uzdevums apskatīt visus 13 stimulus vienu pēc otra. Iegūtie rezultāti norāda, ka IViewX RED500 un EyeLink 1000 Plus acu kustību iekārtu precizitāte nav būtiski atšķirīga. Comparing competing views of analogy making using eye-tracking technology

International audience; We used eye-tracking to study the time course of analogical reasoning in adults. We considered proportions of looking times and saccades. The main question was whether or not adults would follow the same search strategies for different types of analogical problems (Scene Analogies vs. Classical A:B:C:D vs a Scene version of A:B::C:D). We then compared these results to the predictions of various models of analogical reasoning. Results revealed a picture of common search patterns with local adaptations to the specifics of each paradigm in both looking-time duration and the number and types of saccades.
