Legally protected cultural goods and bankruptcy proceedings
2020
This paper deals with general problems of legal aims of bankruptcy proceedings in connection with the aims of heritage protection – issues built by completely different systems of values. Bankruptcy is designed for protecting pecuniary interest of a limited group of people, while cultural heritage is protected for present and future generations, despite its current commercial significance. In the global environment, bankruptcy of a cultural goods owner usually has a cross-border range but national bankruptcy legislations and laws devoted to heritage protection differ in very serious aspects. For this reason the paper is not limited to any concrete legal order. There are discussed some impor…
Steiner systems and configurations of points
2020
AbstractThe aim of this paper is to make a connection between design theory and algebraic geometry/commutative algebra. In particular, given any Steiner SystemS(t, n, v) we associate two ideals, in a suitable polynomial ring, defining a Steiner configuration of points and its Complement. We focus on the latter, studying its homological invariants, such as Hilbert Function and Betti numbers. We also study symbolic and regular powers associated to the ideal defining a Complement of a Steiner configuration of points, finding its Waldschmidt constant, regularity, bounds on its resurgence and asymptotic resurgence. We also compute the parameters of linear codes associated to any Steiner configur…
“It was an awful mistake with that girl. Advise me what to do.” On Jaroslav Hašek’s bigamy
2020
In this article, Jaroslav Hašek’s bigamy will be discussed from two points of view – the biographical and legal ones. In almost every writer’s biography, the fact of his marrying two women is mentioned, but it is also quickly dismissed with only a few words of explanation. In the author’s opinion, after almost a hundred years following Hašek’s death, the case of his bigamy deserves proper interpretation.
ESTRUCTURAS ORGANIZATIVAS EN EMPRESAS DE INTERNACIONALIZACIÓN ACELERADA: EVIDENCIA EMPÍRICA
2014
[Cu(bpy)(P^P)]+ containing light-emitting electrochemical cells: improving performance through simple substitution
2014
Light-emitting electrochemical cells (LECs) containing [Cu(POP)(N^N)][PF6] (POP = bis(2-diphenylphosphinophenyl)ether, N^N = 6-methyl- or 6,6′-dimethyl-2,2′-bipyridine) exhibit luminance and efficiency surpassing previous copper(i)-containing LECs.
On-surface synthesis on a bulk insulator surface
2018
On-surface synthesis has rapidly emerged as a most promising approach to prepare functional molecular structures directly on a support surface. Compared to solution synthesis, performing chemical reactions on a surface offers several exciting new options: due to the absence of a solvent, reactions can be envisioned that are otherwise not feasible due to the insolubility of the reaction product. Perhaps even more important, the confinement to a two-dimensional surface might enable reaction pathways that are not accessible otherwise. Consequently, on-surface synthesis has attracted great attention in the last decade, with an impressive number of classical reactions transferred to a surface as…
Luminescent copper(i) complexes with bisphosphane and halogen-substituted 2,2′-bipyridine ligands
2018
Heteroleptic [Cu(P^P)(N^N)][PF6] complexes, where N^N is a halo-substituted 2,2'-bipyridine (bpy) and P^P is either bis(2-(diphenylphosphino)phenyl)ether (POP) or 4,5-bis(diphenylphosphino)-9,9- dimethylxanthene (xantphos) have been synthesized and investigated. To stabilize the tetrahedral geometry of the copper(I) complexes, the steric demands of the bpy ligands have been increased by introducing 6- or 6,6'-halo-substituents in 6,6'-dichloro-2,2'-bipyridine (6,6'-Cl2bpy), 6-bromo-2,2'- bipyridine (6-Brbpy) and 6,6'-dibromo-2,2'-bipyridine (6,6'-Br2bpy). The solid-state structures of [Cu(POP)(6,6'-Cl2bpy)][PF6], [Cu(xantphos)(6,6'-Cl2bpy)][PF6].CH2Cl2, [Cu(POP)(6-Brbpy)][PF6] and [Cu(xantp…
Orientation theory in arithmetic geometry
2016
This work is devoted to study orientation theory in arithmetic geometric within the motivic homotopy theory of Morel and Voevodsky. The main tool is a formulation of the absolute purity property for an \emph{arithmetic cohomology theory}, either represented by a cartesian section of the stable homotopy category or satisfying suitable axioms. We give many examples, formulate conjectures and prove a useful property of analytical invariance. Within this axiomatic, we thoroughly develop the theory of characteristic and fundamental classes, Gysin and residue morphisms. This is used to prove Riemann-Roch formulas, in Grothendieck style for arbitrary natural transformations of cohomologies, and a …
Highly luminescent perovskite–aluminum oxide composites
2015
In this communication we report on the preparation of CH3NH3PbBr3 perovskite/Al2O3 nanoparticle composites in a thin film configuration and demonstrate their high photoluminescence quantum yield. The composite material is solution-processed at low temperature, using stable alumina nanoparticle dispersions. There is a large influence of the alumina nanoparticle concentration on the perovskite morphology and on its photoluminescence.
