Tradicionalmente, la financiación de las residencias de ancianos en España se ha venido realizando mediante dos mecanismos: la provisión directa de los centros públicos y los subsidios a los centros privados y del tercer sector. La Comunidad Valenciana decidió incorporar en 1996 un nuevo instrumento de financiación, que hasta ahora no se había usado en España, denominado bonoresidencia. El principal propósito de este artículo es averiguar si la implantación de este instrumento ha colaborado a incrementar y mejorar las condiciones del empleo en este sector.

AbstractSeveral studies have suggested a possible etiological association between ovarian endometriosis and ovarian cancer. Evidence has shown that KIF20A overexpression might confer a malignant phenotype to ovarian tumors by promoting proliferation and inhibiting apoptosis. However, no data about the role of KIF20A in endometriosis have been described. In this study, the human endometrium (n = 4) was transfected by mCherry adenovirus and intraperitoneally implanted in mice. Are Energy Market Integrations a Green Light for FDI?

This paper studies the effect of energy market integration (EMI) on foreign direct investment (FDI). EMIs diminish energy uncertainty and price volatility in the host country and affect FDI through two channels: first, by harmonizing energy prices and, second, by reducing price dispersion. FDI may, as a result, increase both within and outside the EMI area, through energy stability mechanisms and price mechanisms, respectively. August Heylman is one of the forgotten lawyers of the Kingdom of Poland in the 19th century. He was a practician, holding high positions in the then administration and judiciary of the Kingdom. At the same time he occupied himself with scholarly activity. He was one of the main advocates of the historical school of law in the Polish legal science in the 19th century as well as a co-creator of one of the best-known Polish scientific journals edited under the title Themis Polska.

In his contribution, the author presents the work on the codification (initially on the Act) of procedural criminal law in Poland in the years 1919–1928. Those works were initially led by the Criminal Department of the Codification Committee, and then by the Criminal Proceedings Section of the Codification Commission. The first period of the work on the criminal procedure law was characterized by some disputes between the members of the Department, i.e. supporters of the classical school (E. Krzymuski) vs. the sociological school (J. Makarewicz), the discussion aiming at defining the relationship of procedural criminal law and substantive criminal law. O crescimento e o desenvolvimento da economia mundial têm dependido cada vez mais do transporte marítimo, e os portos são um elo importante nesse processo. O presente estudo tem como objetivo explorar a aplicação do orçamento baseado em desempenho no sistema de portos da Espanha. Para tanto, foi realizado um estudo sobre o modelo orçamentário do Sistema Portuário de Titularidade Estatal e um estudo de caso na Autoridade Portuária de Valência.
