Analysis of methylation and mRNA expression status ofFADD andFAS genes in patients with oral squamous cell carcinoma
2014
Background: Apoptosis is an important mechanism that is responsible for the physiological deletion of harmful, damaged, or unwanted cells. Changed expression of apoptosis-related genes may lead to abnormal cell proliferation and finally to tumorigenesis. Our aims were to analyze the promoter methylation and gene expression profiles of FADD and FAS genes in risk of OSCC. Material and Methods: we analyze the promoter methylation status of FADD and FAS genes using Methylation - Specific PCR (MSP) in 86 OSCC tissues were kept in paraffin and 68 normal oral tissues applied as control. Also, FADD and FAS genes expression were analyzed in 19 cases and 20 normal specimens by Real-Time Reverse- Tran…
MORT1/FADD is involved in liver regeneration
2006
AIM: To explore the role of the adaptor molecule in liver regeneration after partial hepatectomy (PH). METHODS: We used transgenic mice expressing an N-terminal truncated form of MORT1/FADD under the control of the albumin promoter. As previously shown, this transgenic protein abrogated CD95- and CD120a-mediated apoptosis in the liver. Cyclin A expression was detected using Western blotting. ELISA and RT-PCR were used to detect IL-6 and IL-6 mRNA, respectively. DNA synthesis in liver tissue was measured by BrdU staining. RESULTS: Resection of 70% of the liver was followed by a reduced early regenerative response in the transgenic group at 36 h. Accordingly, 36 h after hepatectomy, cyclin A …
Photoproduction of the hypertriton
1997
In the framework of the impulse approximation we study the photoproduction of the hypertriton $^3_{\Lambda}$H by using realistic $^3$He wave functions obtained as solutions of Faddeev equations with the Reid soft-core potential for different $^3_{\Lambda}$H wave functions. We obtain relatively small cross sections of the order of 1 nb. We also find that the influence of Fermi motion is important, while the effect of different off-shell assumptions on the cross section is not too significant.
Three-body hadron systems with strangeness
2013
Recently, many efforts are being put in studying three-hadron systems made of mesons and baryons and interesting results are being found. In this talk, we summarize the main features of the formalism used to study such three hadron systems with strangeness S = -1, 0 within a framework built on the basis of unitary chiral theories and solution of the Faddeev equations. In particular, we present the results obtained for the pi(K) over barN, K (K) over barN and KK (K) over bar systems and their respective coupled channels. In the first case, we find four Sigma's and two A's with spin-parity J(P) = 1/2(+), in the 1500-1800 MeV region, as two meson-one baryon s-wave resonances. In the second cas…
Exotic states in the S=1 N-pi-K system and low-lying 1/2+ S=-1 resonances
2010
In this manuscript we discuss about our study of the $N \pi \bar{K}$ and the NπK systems made by solving the Faddeev equations with the two-body t-matrices obtained by solving the Bethe-Salpeter equations with the potentials obtained from chiral dynamics. In the strangeness = -1 case, we found that all the Λ and Σ resonances listed by the particle data group, with spin-parity 1/2+ , in the 1550-1800 MeV region get generated due to the involved three-body dynamics. This motivated us to study the strangeness =1 three-body system, i.e., NπK , where we did not find any evidence for the Θ + (1542) but found a broad bump around 1700 MeV which has a κ (800)N structure.
Pion interaction with the trinucleon up to the eta production threshold
1993
Pion elastic, charge exchange scattering and induced eta production on the trinucleon systems are investigated in a coupled-channels approach in momentum space with Fadeev wave functions. The channel $\pi N \rightarrow \eta N$ is included using an isobar model with S-, P-, and D-wave resonances. While the coherent reactions like $^3$He($\pi,\pi)^3$He can be reasonably well reproduced up to $T_{\pi}$=500 MeV, large discrepancies appear for the incoherent processes, $^3$He($\pi^-,\pi^0)^3$H and $^3$He($\pi^-,\eta)^3$H at backward angles and energies above $\Delta$-resonance. In the forward direction the $(\pi,\eta)$ calculations underestimate the experimental measurements very close to thresh…
Two, three, many body systems involving mesons
2011
In this talk we show recent developments on few body systems involving mesons. We report on an approach to Faddeev equations using chiral unitary dynamics, where an explicit cancellation of the two body off shell amplitude with three body forces stemming from the same chiral Lagrangians takes place. This removal of the unphysical off shell part of the amplitudes is most welcome and renders the approach unambiguous, showing that only on shell two body amplitudes need to be used. Within this approach, systems of two mesons and one baryon are studied, reproducing properties of the low lying $1/2^+$ states. On the other hand we also report on multirho and $K^*$ multirho states which can be asso…
Study of the DKK and DKK¯ systems
2017
Using the fixed center approximation to Faddeev equations, we investigate the $DKK$ and $DK\overline{K}$ three-body systems, considering that the $DK$ dynamically generates, through its $I=0$ component, the ${D}_{s0}^{*}(2317)$ molecule. According to our findings, for the $DK\overline{K}$ interaction we find evidence of a state $I({J}^{P})=1/2({0}^{\ensuremath{-}})$ just above the ${D}_{s0}^{*}(2317)\overline{K}$ threshold and around the $D{f}_{0}(980)$ threshold, with mass of about 2833--2858 MeV, made mostly of $D{f}_{0}(980)$. On the other hand, no evidence related to a state from the $DKK$ interaction is found. The state found could be seen in the $\ensuremath{\pi}\ensuremath{\pi}D$ inv…
A three body state with J=3 in the ρB*B̅N* interaction
2016
We study the ρB * BN * system solving the Faddeev equations in the fixed center approximation. The B * BN * system will be considered forming a cluster, and using the two-body ρB * unitarized scattering amplitudes in the local Hidden Gauge approach we find a new I ( J PC ) = 1(3 −− ) state. The mass of the new state corresponds to a two particle invariant mass of the ρB * system close to the resonant energy of the B * 2 (5747), indicating that the role of this J = 2 resonance is important in the dynamical generation of the new state.
N* resonances in the ππNsystem
2010
We have solved the Faddeev equations for the ππN system and coupled channels resulting into the dynamical generation of two N* , N* (1710) and N* (2100), and one ∆ states, ∆ (1910), all of them with J P = 1/2+ . In addition, signatures for a new N* resonance with JP = 1/2+ are found around at an energy of 1920 MeV.
