The perception of the family functionality: Confirmation of its bifactorial structure

Es necesario crear instrumentos válidos, fiables y de fácil aplicación para evaluar la funcionalidad familiar. En el presente estudio se confirma la estructura bifactorial de una Escala de Funcionalidad familiar de 23 ítems aportando índices de fiabilidad y validez externa en una muestra de 185 familias con hijos adolescentes. Se analiza la discrepancia parental, y se presentan los estadísticos descriptivos de esta variable en las dimensiones que constituyen la escala: Facilitador y Perturbador. After describing the program of early compensatory education (from age 3 to 9), called Chicago Child-Parent Centers (CPC), this article collects and analyses the evaluation studies of that Program from a longitudinal perspective – Chicago Longitudinal Study (CLS)-, focusing primarily on methodological problems and afterwards on the short and, mainly, long terms effects, until the targeted subjects of the Program reached the age of 24. Background This study examines how dogs observe images of natural scenes containing living creatures (wild animals, dogs and humans) recorded with eye gaze tracking. Because dogs have had limited exposure to wild animals in their lives, we also consider the natural novelty of the wild animal images for the dogs. Methods The eye gaze of dogs was recorded while they viewed natural images containing dogs, humans, and wild animals.
