The role of organic agriculture in the island of Sicily is well recognised by farmers, though the consumption of organic products still fails to largely develop in the local markets, due to several reasons, among which the small scale agricultural system and its structural poor organization plays a major role. Saslimstība ar elpošanas sistēmas slimībām bērnu vidū ieņem pirmo vietu salīdzinot ar citām slimībām. Tāpēc to ārstēšanā tiek pielietotas dažādas ārstēšanas metodes, bet cenšoties pasargāt no ļoti smagām un hroniskām slimībām, izmantojot maz pētītus medikamentus, bērniem tiek nodarīts daudz lielāks kaitējums nekā ieguvums no neracionāli izvēlētas terapijas. Darba mērķis - izpētīt bronhodilatatoru ietekmi uz bērnu organismu un analizēt to apriti Siguldas aptiekās. Vecāku attieksme un uzskati par bērnu vakcinēšanu Latvijā

Vakcinācijas uzdevums ir radīt aizsargājošu imūno reakciju, tādējādi aizsargājot bērnus no nopietnām ar vakcīnu novēršamām slimībām un to komplikācijām. Maģistra darba mērķis ir noskaidrot Latvijā dzīvojošo vecāku attieksmi un uzskatus par vakcīnām, vakcināciju un par savu bērnu vakcinēšanu. Darba veikšanā tika izmantota empīriskā pētījuma metode. Elektroniskas anketas aizpildīja Latvijā dzīvojošie bērnu vecāki. Datu analīzei tika izmantotas 376 aptaujas. Rezultātā tika secināts, ka diezgan liela daļa Latvijā dzīvojošo vecāku pilnībā nevakcinē vai tikai daļēji vakcinē savus bērnus. Methods As socially stressful events pose particular challenges at developmental stages, this research applied the resident–intruder paradigm as a model of social stress, to highlight behavioural neuroendocrine and molecular maladaptive plasticity in rats at withdrawal from binge-like alcohol exposure in adolescence. Proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 9 (PCSK9), beyond regulating LDL cholesterol (LDL-c) plasma levels, exerts several pleiotropic effects by modulating lipid metabolism in extrahepatic cells such as macrophages. Macrophage cholesterol homeostasis depends on serum lipoprotein functions, including the HDL capacity to promote cell cholesterol efflux (CEC) and the serum capacity to promote cell cholesterol loading (CLC).
