My research study deals with the wealth, social position, and fashion awareness of farmers’ wives in Gamlakarleby (Kokkola) parish in the latter half of the eighteenth century. In addition, I investigate the picture that present national costumes give about eighteenth century dressing. The aim is to examine farmer wives’ wealth in the villages of Karleby (Gamlakarleby socken) and the village of Nedervetil, which were part of the class society regulated by the Church Law of 1686 and the Swedish Civil Code enacted in 1734. The medial cerebral cortex of lizards, an area homologous to the hippocampal fascia dentata, shows delayed postnatal neurogenesis, i.e., cells in the medial cortex ependyma proliferate and give rise to immature neurons, which migrate to the cell layer. For many applications and ecological studies in which wild individuals are brought to laboratory it would be essential to know accurately how fast novel diet is reflected in composition of different tissues. To study the effects of two different diets on the stable isotope composition of freshwater crayfish muscle and hemolymph, we conducted a three month experiment on noble crayfish (Astacus astacus) and signal crayfish (Pacifastacus leniusculus) by feeding them sweet corn (Zea mays) or Baltic herring (Clupea harengus membras) as novel food.
