Fatigue life of fastener holes can be enhanced via a cold-expansion process to introduce a compressive residual stress field around the hole edge and to reduce crack growth propagation. Considering that aerospace components contain multiple rows of holes, the present investigation focuses on the evaluation of the three-dimensional residual stress distribution in adjacent cold-expanded (CE) holes. The redistribution of residual stresses caused by a cut introduced between two adjacent holes was also investigated. Se cita la presencia de 18 táxones de algas marinas interesantes procedentes del litoral levantino (España, Medinterráneo occidental). Veinticuatro constituyen nuevas citas para dicho tramo del litoral mediterráneo peninsular. Destaca la presencia de Peyssonnelia feldmannii, Ceramium fastigiatum var. flaccida, y Cystoseria sauvageauana va. polyoedematis. The records of 28 taxa of marine algae from the Central Mediterranean coast of Spain are given. 24 are new records for this sector of Spanish coast. Gemcitabine sensitizes lung cancer cells to Fas/FasL system-mediated killing

Gemcitabine is a chemotherapy agent commonly used in the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) that has been demonstrated to induce apoptosis in NSCLC cells by increasing functionally active Fas expression. The aim of this study was to evaluate the Fas/Fas ligand (FasL) system involvement in gemcitabine-induced lung cancer cell killing. NSCLC H292 cells were cultured in the presence or absence of gemcitabine. FasL mRNA and protein were evaluated by real-time PCR, and by Western blot and flow cytometry, respectively. On the accuracy of the fast hierarchical DBEM for the analysis of static and dynamic crack problems

In this paper the main features of a fast dual boundary element method based on the use of hierarchical matrices and iterative solvers are described and its effectiveness for fracture mechanics problems, both in the static and dynamic case, is demonstrated. The fast solver is built by representing the collocation matrix in hierarchical format and by using a preconditioned GMRES for the solution of the algebraic system. The preconditioner is computed in hierarchical format by LU decomposition of a coarse hierarchical representation of the collocation matrix. El trabajo analiza las modificaciones que la Ley de Jurisdicción contencioso-administrativa ha recibido como consecuencia de la Ley Orgánica 3/2007, de 22 de marzo, para la Igualdad Efectiva de Mujeres y Hombres. Principalmente, lo relativo a la carga de la prueba en los procesos en que concurran actuaciones discriminatorias por razón de sexo y la exigencia de prueba indiciaria en el orden jurisdiccional laboral, civil y contencioso-administrativo, haciendo especial hincapié en los procedimientos administrativos sancionadores.
