Electric-Motion in Romania - Overview - Study on Machining Parameters of EV Charging Station Mechanical Components

2016

This paper presents some relevant aspects of charging infrastructure for electric vehicles in Romania. It evidences the charging station and fast charging stations designed and installed by the first Romanian company dedicated 100% to e-mobility, E-Motion Electric. Also, a study on machining (milling) parameters of some mechanical components of electric vehicle (EV) charging station is done and, finally, the regression model for these parameters is determined. This model would be further used for machining process optimization.

Caspase-8 prevents sustained activation of NF-kappaB in monocytes undergoing macrophagic differentiation.

2006

Abstract Caspases have demonstrated several nonapoptotic functions including a role in the differentiation of specific cell types. Here, we show that caspase-8 is the upstream enzyme in the proteolytic caspase cascade whose activation is required for the differentiation of peripheral-blood monocytes into macrophages. On macrophage colony-stimulating factor (M-CSF) exposure, caspase-8 associates with the adaptor protein Fas-associated death domain (FADD), the serine/threonine kinase receptor-interacting protein 1 (RIP1) and the long isoform of FLICE-inhibitory protein FLIP. Overexpression of FADD accelerates the differentiation process that does not involve any death receptor. Active caspase…

Note psicocriminologiche. La mafia tra antropologia criminale e psichiatria

2022

Sottoprocesso. Le cosche palermitane

2008

Between 1925 and 1930, fascism dealt a strong blow to the mafia, in fact Sicilian cosche had to go on about a hundred of trials. By analysing the trial papers, this work shows how the cosche of the Palermo district were structured in the Twenties. One important thing that comes out is that the mafioso control is a sort of legacy passed on through several generations of the same family or group.

Compari di san Giovanni. Matrimoni e battesimi nella mafia dell’agro palermitano negli anni Venti

2017

Matrimonies and Baptisms in the Mafia of Palermo during the Twenties Historical sources have demonstrated that, since the origins of the Mafia, it has always had strong links with religion. Often, mafiosi appear to conform to Christian values: they usually go to Mass and celebrate baptisms and marriages, or tend to use religious symbols, such as crosses or holy pictures. They favour the preservation of a traditional society, outwardly based on hierarchical values and family unity. However, their ceremonies and family ties are used to reinforce criminal alliances, often ratified by comparaggio, the strong tie that arises from baptism. This article, based mainly on police and judiciary source…

Dissolution mechanism of crystalline cellulose in H3PO4 as assessed by high-field NMR spectroscopy and Fast Field Cycling NMR relaxometry

2009

Many processes have been proposed to produce glucose as a substrate for bacterial fermentation to obtain bioethanol. Among others, cellulose degradation appears as the most convenient way to achieve reliable amounts of glucose units. In fact, cellulose is the most widespread biopolymer, and it is considered also as a renewable resource. Due to extended intra- and interchain hydrogen bonds that provide a very efficient packing structure, however, cellulose is also a very stable polymer, the degradation of which is not easily achievable. In the past decade, researchers enhanced cellulose reactivity by increasing its solubility in many solvents, among which concentrated phosphoric acid (H(3)PO…

Two new biologically active triterpene saponins from Acanthophyllum squarrosum.

2000

Two novel triterpenoid saponins (1 and 2) have been isolated from the roots of Acanthophyllum squarrosum. The structures were established mainly by a combination of 2D NMR techniques as 3-O-beta-D-galactopyranosyl-(1-->2)-[beta-D-xylopyranosyl-(1-->3)]-be ta-D-glucuronopyranosylgypsogenin-28-O-beta-D-xylopyranosyl-(1-->3 )-b eta-D-xylopyranosyl-(1-->4)-alpha-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1-->4)-[alpha-L- rhamnopyranosyl-(1-->3)]-beta-D-fucopyranoside (1) and 3-O-beta-D-glucopyranosylgypsogenin-28-O-alpha-L-rhamnopyranosyl-( 1-- >2)-alpha-L-arabinopyranosyl-(1-->2)-[beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->6 )]- beta-D-glucopyranoside (2). Compound 1 showed a moderate concentration-dependent immunomodulatory effect …

A new biologically active acylated triterpene saponin from Silene fortunei.

1998

A new acylated triterpene-saponin (1), together with a mixture of the known jenisseensosides C and D, has been isolated from the roots of Silene fortunei. The structure of the new compound was established by chemical means and spectroscopic methods as 3-O-[beta-D-galactopyranosyl-(1-->2)-beta-D-glucuronopyranosyl]-28 -O- [[alpha-L-arabinopyranosyl-(1-->2)-alpha-L-arabinopyranosyl- (1-->3)-b eta-D-xylopyranosyl-(1-->4)-alpha-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1-->2)]-[beta-D- glucopyranosyl-(1-->3)]-4-O-acetyl-beta-D-fucopyranosyl]quillaic acid. This saponin showed a significant enhancement of granulocyte phagocytosis in vitro.

Triterpene Saponins from Tupidanthus calyptratus

2001

Five new bisdesmosidic saponins (1--5) were isolated from the aerial parts of Tupidanthus calyptratus. Their structures were determined by (1)H--(1)H correlation spectroscopy (COSY, TOCSY, ROESY) and (1)H--(13)C correlation (HSQC, HMBC) NMR experiments, FABMS, and chemical data.

Two New Glycosides from Astragalus caprinus

2001

A new glycoside of flavonol (1) and a new glycoside of a cycloartane-type triterpene (2) were isolated from the leaves and the roots of Astragalus caprinus, respectively. Their structures were elucidated in turn by spectroscopic data interpretation as 3-O-[[beta-D-xylopyranosyl(1-->3)-alpha-L-rhamnopyranosyl(1-->6)][beta-D-apiofuranosyl(1-->2)]]-beta-D-galactopyranosyl kaempferol (1) and 3-O-(beta-D-xylopyranosyl)-24-O-(beta-D-glucopyranosyl)-20,25-epoxycycloartane-3beta,6alpha,16beta,24alpha-tetrol (2).
