This article looks empirically into how audience members evaluate celebrities in journalism; whether and how celebrities help them to envisage their relationship to politics and media and consequently regard themselves as citizens. The analysis generates a broad and audience-based understanding of celebrities in nine focus group discussions, wherein more than 50 citizens in Finland discussed their favourite celebrities. Musical preferences are typically determined by asking participants to indicate their favourite musical genres. These genre-based measures have some considerable pitfalls, since specific pieces of music in a genre might be liked more than the genre itself, and finding consensus to define a genre is often a challenging task. This paper bids a wide-ranging point of view on the latin fable during the Middle Ages and, particularly, on the works of Baldo (Novus Aesopus), John of Capua (Directorium humanae vitae) and Raymond of Béziers (Liber Kalilae et Dimnae) who, in different ways, was inspired by the Kalila and Dimna, an arabic translation of the indian Pañchatantra. The paper is mainly dedicated to the general aspects of the problem and on the biographic and bibliographical matters of the three medieval authors, hoping for forthcoming studies and researchs.

This paper shows that the Roman law of dowry cannot be categorised as ius singulare, as Stagl believes, and that there is no evidence in our sources to support his opinion about the existence of a Gaius’ «didactic system» in law teaching. Even Stagl’s most recent attempt to affirm those ideas is based upon a misinterpretation of the Roman sources and is affected by methodological fallacies.

This article demonstrates through professional practice the necessary links that must exist between social work intervention and the state-subsidized housing assigned for the underprivileged population. To demonstrate this link, the results of good practices executed (mainly those in which a community vision with specific interventions have been incorporated) are shown from the historical perspective. To conclude, viable proposals are given from the local point of view.
La representación de la mujer en la prensa satírica : Por favor (1974-1978)

El presente trabajo comprende el estudio de la representacion de la mujer en las portadas de la revista satirica Por Favor, que estuvo en activo desde marzo de 1974 hasta julio de 1978. Principalmente se analizan las estrategias empleadas por los autores en la construccion de las imagenes y textos que conforman la primera plana de los distintos numeros de la revista. Para ello, utilizaremos la tecnica del analisis de contenidos con la que someteremos a la muestra a doce parametros de estudio concretos. La finalidad es comprobar si dicha publicacion actuo como una tecnologia del genero, capaz de trasladar a los lectores una imagen concreta de la mujer.
