Changing people’s attitudes and beliefs toward driving through floodwaters : Evaluation of a video infographic

Despite awareness of campaigns such as ‘Turn Around, Don’t Drown’ and the Australian state of Queensland’s ‘If It’s Flooded, Forget It’, people continue to drive through floodwaters, causing loss of life, risk to rescuers, and damage to vehicles. The aim of this study was to develop a video infographic that highlights the dangers of driving through floodwaters and provide safety tips to reduce the risk, and to evaluate its effectiveness in changing the beliefs and intentions of Australian adults toward this risky driving behaviour. The incidence of multiple pregnancy has increased, particularly because of the advances in assisted reproductive technologies. Multiple gestations are high risk pregnancies, especially the monochorionic ones. Two/thirds of initially twin pregnancies result in singles at birth, a condition defined as vanishing twin syndrome. The intrauterine death of one of the twins can cause direct fetal damage to the surviving one on several levels. The paper describes the case of a child born from twin pregnancy that was interrupted for one of the co-twins at early second trimester of gestation who presented with aplasia cutis congenita.
Assessment of Occupational Health and Job Satisfaction in Workers with Intellectual Disability: A Job Demands–Resources Perspective

In the contexts where people with intellectual disability work, there are factors that determine their job satisfaction. The objective of this study was to test the adequacy of the central assumptions of the Job Demands–Resources (JD-R) theory in workers with intellectual disability employed in different work alternatives. Data from 362 workers in sheltered workshops and 192 workers in supported employment were utilized. The model was contrasted using a structural equation model and a multi-group analysis. Tutkimukseni tehtävänä on selvittää, mitä turvallisuusargumentteja käytettiin Saksan parlamentaarisissa debateissa, jotka koskivat atomivoimasta luopumista vuonna 2011 maaliskuusta kesäkuuhun, jolloin keskustelu oli vilkkainta. Alkupäivämäärä määräytyi Fukushiman ydinonnettomuuden mukaan ja loppupäivämäärän määritteli hetki, jolloin Saksan parlamentti, Bundestag, hyväksyi uusia lakeja liittyen ydinenergian käyttöön ja rajoittamiseen. Bezpieczeństwo socjalne jednostki stanowi jedną z kluczowych kategorii polityki społecznej. Jawi się ono jako wolność od zagrożeń powodujących brak lub niedostatek środków niezbędnych do zaspokojenia podstawowych potrzeb życiowych jednostki. Zapewnienie bezpieczeństwa socjalnego społeczeństwa i jego członków stanowi jedno z podstawowych zadań państwa. W tym zakresie uwidacznia się rola zabezpieczenia społecznego, zwłaszcza w kontekście koncepcji państwa opiekuńczego i państwa gwarantującego. W kontekście normatywnym kluczowe znaczenie ma konstytucyjne prawo do zabezpieczenia społecznego. Stanowi bowiem podstawę gwarancji podjęcia przez państwo działań zapewniających bezpieczeństwo socjalne.

L’objectif principal de ce travail était de mesurer les effets de la pratique musicale sur deux aspects des apprentissages des élèves : le développement cognitif et les acquisitions scolaires. Dans la continuité de travaux précédents (Mingat, Suchaut, 1994), cette nouvelle recherche explore de manière plus approfondie les liens entre activités musicales et réussite scolaire tout en adoptant une méthodologie renouvelée permettant d’éviter les principaux biais liés à ce type de recherche en milieu scolaire.
