Supero-lateral Hoffa's fat pad edema: associazione con malallineamento o conflitto femoro-rotuleo.

OBIETTIVO. Il nostro studio è stato disegnato per valutare sistematicamente la correlazione dell'edema della porzione supero-laterale del corpo adiposo di Hoffa con diversi parametri anatomici della morfologia trocleare e dell'allineamento della rotula. MATERIALI E METODI. Abbiamo riesaminato in maniera retrospettiva 50 esami RM di ginocchio di 47 pazienti, eseguiti nel periodo gennaio 2011-marzo 2011 per la presenza di edema nella porzione supero-laterale del cuscinetto adiposo di Hoffa e di anomalie anatomiche associate dell'articolazione femoro-rotulea. This chapter discusses the nature crisis through looking at how one might work towards dynamic coexistence with non-human nature through communicating and bonding with domestic mammals, thereby anchoring ourselves in the world. It explores the negative and positive peace between humans and non-human nature, and introduces 'animate peace' to suggest that peace is a dynamic, complex and challenging, in addition to rewarding, state of affairs. Forest ecosystems are fundamental for the terrestrial biosphere as they deliver multiple essential ecosystem services (ES). In environmental management, understanding ES distribution and interactions and assessing the economic value of forest ES represent future challenges. In this study, we developed a spatially explicit method based on a multi-scale approach (MiMoSe-Multiscale Mapping of ecosystem services) to assess the current and future potential of a given forest area to provide ES. Job seeker's spatial equilibrium in a fuzzy mathematical framework

This paper incorporates complex behavior in a job seeking strategy model. Since the state of information is imperfect, a job seeker faces an imprecise labor market. His behavior is fuzzy and variable. It is shown how this complex behavior can be described by fuzzy subsets theory and bifurcation analysis. The latter examines the discontinuous phenomena. Then it is proved that a job seeker’s fuzzy equilibrium with a spatial constraint exists.

THIS PAPER AIMS TO SHOW HOW EU-INTEGRATION OF THE CENTRAL AND ORIENTAL EUROPEAN COUNTRIES WOULD MODIFY THE GROWTH OF EUROPEAN REGIONS. WE DEMONSTRATE THAT « NEW ECONOMIC GEOGRAPHY » AND « NEW GROWTH THEORIES » TOGETHER ARE WELL SUITED TO UNDERSTAND AND EXPLAIN VARIOUS PHENOMENA ASSOCIATED WITH EUROPEAN INTEGRATION POLICIES. WE SHOW THAT THESE POLICIES WILL BE PROFITABLE TO GROWTH BUT WILL REINFORCE THE UROPEAN CORE-PERIPHERY GEOGRAPHIC PATTERN. WE ALSO SHOW THAT SOME MECANISMS COULD COUNTERACT THIS PATTERN OF UNEVEN DEVELOPMENT.

This paper intends to analyze the foreign policies and diplomatic exchanges of Portugal’s Estado Novo Regime and Apartheid South Africa. In order to fully research these subjects, a search was made in the Portuguese National Records (Torre do Tombo) and the Portuguese Ministry of Foreign Affairs. After a careful selection of the most important documents that served the purposes of this study, we performed a literature review of the subjects at hand, mainly in (Portuguese) history and international relations. Experiences, reputation, references and decision-making in an online hospitality network

The aim of this thesis was to analyse behavioural patterns that occur after a negative experience during a hospitality exchange. The focus of this study is the largest online hospitality network to date, the CouchSurfing Project. CouchSurfing enables travellers to connect and to offer each other help in form of a free hospitality exchange. Furthermore, CouchSurfing presents a platform for cultural exchange and the possibility for members to connect in this online-offline community.
