Purpose To determine whether hypotony after filtration surgery has any influence on visual acuity and intraocular pressure (IOP) lowering. Patients and methods We prospectively investigated 43 eyes of 43 patients undergoing trabeculectomy without the use of antimetabolites for 12 months. Results The lowest postoperative IOP valued 4.9 +/- 3.6 mm Hg (range, 0-14 mm Hg). It correlated statistically significant with the IOP 6 weeks (P = 0.016), 6 months (P = 0.009), and 1 year after surgery (P = 0.027). Our aim was to evaluate the association between recent eGFR values and risk of switching from TDF to TAF or dual therapy (DT) in real life. HIV-positive patients achieving HIV-RNA ≤50 copies/mL for the first time after starting a TDF-based regimen were included. Kaplan–Meier (KM) curves and Cox regression models were used to estimate the time from TDF to switch to TAF or DT. 1486 participants were included: median (IQR) age 36 (30–42) years; baseline CKD-EPI eGFR 99.92 (86.47–111.4) mL/min/1.73m2. BACKGROUND Splenic marginal zone cell lymphoma (SMZL) is a low grade B-cell lymphoma in which patients can have circulating villous lymphocytes and can show a peculiar intrasinusoidal bone marrow (BM) infiltration. Splenectomy is the reported treatment of choice for these patients. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of splenectomy on patients with BM lymphomatous infiltration. METHODS BM biopsies of 16 patients with SMZL were studied morphologically and immunohistochemically. In 12 patients, BM biopsies were taken before and after splenectomy.
