Während der Verlauf und die Ursachen des Geburtenverhaltens intensiv erforscht wurden, sind die finanziellen Folgen einer Geburt empirisch kaum beachtet worden. Daher werden hier kurzfristige Wohlstandsveränderungen von Familien (hinsichtlich verfügbarem Haushaltseinkommen und Äquivalenzeinkommen) rund um die Geburt eines Kindes in längsschnittlicher Perspektive analysiert und auf ihre Ursachen untersucht. Zu diesem Zweck wurden die Daten des Sozio-oekonomischen Panels (1984-2005) mittels Fixed-Effekt-Panelregressionsmodellen analysiert. Cutting efficency of a new diamond bur for tooth preparation

Objectives: The aim of this study is to compare the cutting efficiency of a recently introduced diamond bur (314.S-6878.016, Komet Brasseler) for tooth preparation with its conventional variant (314.6878.016). Both burs have the same diameter, profile and diamond grains (160µm), but the 6878 have a polygonal section at the cutting portion level; this is claimed to have a percussion effect which can improve the hard tissue removal. Materials and methods: four burs from each type have been selected. Tablets made of human tooth fragments embedded in epoxy resin (4 to 1 w/w ratio) were used as test specimens. From Caristi’s Theorem to Ekeland’s Variational Principle in ${0}_{\sigma }$ -Complete Metric-Like Spaces

We discuss the extension of some fundamental results in nonlinear analysis to the setting of ${0}_{\sigma }$ -complete metric-like spaces. Then, we show that these extensions can be obtained via the corresponding results in standard metric spaces.
Fixed point results for α-implicit contractions with application to integral equations

Recently, Aydi et al. [On fixed point results for α-implicit contractions in quasi-metric spaces and consequences, Nonlinear Anal. Model. Control, 21(1):40–56, 2016] proved some fixed point results involving α-implicit contractive conditions in quasi-b-metric spaces. In this paper we extend and improve these results and derive some new fixed point theorems for implicit contractions in ordered quasi-b-metric spaces. Moreover, some examples and an application to integral equations are given here to illustrate the usability of the obtained results.
