We exploit a recently proposed framework for assessing causal influences in the frequency domain to construct the partial information decomposition (PID) for informational circuits of three variables, thus obtaining the spectral decomposition of redundancy, synergy and unique information. The approach is applied to heart period (HP), systolic pressure (SP) and respiration (RESP) variability series measured in healthy subjects in baseline and head up tilt conditions. Integrating the informational quantities in the respiratory band, the total influence from RESP to HP does not change in the two conditions. Abstract UPM bio-fibrils are nano-structured cellulose fibers (nano-fibrils) produced by UPM Kymmene-Corporation, a Finnish company. This paper reports a preliminary study about nano-fibrils to determine their possible use for restoration of historical mortars and plasters. The aim of this study is to investigate the behavior of some mixtures added with nano-fibrils in their properties for conservative purposes. These mixtures reproduce the composition of historical mortars and plasters, made of natural hydraulic lime (NHL 3.5) and river sand. This paper presents a computational homogenisation-based technique for flexural effects in textile reinforced composite planar shells. An homogenisation procedure is used for the in-plane and the out-of-plane behaviour of three-dimensional woven composite shells, taking the in-plane periodicity of the material into account while relaxing any periodicity tying in the thickness direction.
