International audience; Developing herbicide resistance in forsaken small crops could be a way to maintain food and cultivation system diversity, otherwise they would disappear due to the impossibility or cost to control the weeds. Modelling the relationship between sexual reproduction and rhizome growth in Posidonia oceanica (L.) Delile

The relationship between flowering and growth performance of Posidonia oceanica (L.) Delile in meadows distributed along the south-eastern coast of Sicily (Italy) was investigated by means of a statistical model (generalized linear mixed model) combined with the lepidochronological analysis. Over a 28-year period, 67 floral stalk remains were observed. The highest flowering index was recorded in lepidochronological year 1998 (10.1%) and the Inflorescence Frequency per age showed a clear decrease corresponding to 15-year-old shoots. Our recent second epoch Chandra observations have shown a fast morphological evolution of the X-ray source associated with the protostellar jet HH 154 (Fig.\ 1). We propose to study the evolution of the optical structures in the jet, specially the ones associated with the X-ray emission with a monitoring program of imaging narrow and broad band optical observations. We will determine the proper motions (and braking) of the optical knows associated with shock features and the evolution of their line luminosity and therefore their cooling time.
