The printing press played a major role in the emergence of an open science system. The Mertonian scientific norms reflect this openness. They also demonstrate, however, that science understands itself as a profession of certified experts. The openness of science was enabled by social closure. Open science challenges this social closure of scientific practice. Der Band fasst aktuelle Theorieperspektiven und Forschungsbefunde zur Bedeutung von Körpern, Objekten und Räumen in der interdisziplinären Kindheitsforschung zusammen. Es wird gezeigt, in welchem Maße diese Materialitäten daran mitwirken, dass sich bestimmte gesellschaftliche Kindheitsmuster und -erfahrungen ausbilden und wie material die Positionierungs- und Subjektivierungsprozesse von Kindern als Kinder gedacht werden müssen.

The development of Frames of Reference (FoRs) as coordinate systems in space language has gained increasing attention in current linguistic, neurolinguistic, and psycholinguistic research (Diessel 2013: 687; Kemmerer 2010). The recent publication of an updated thermodynamic dataset for petrological calculations provides an opportunity to illustrate the relationship between experimental data and the dataset, in the context of a new set of activity–composition models for several key minerals. These models represent orthopyroxene, clinopyroxene and garnet in the system CaO–MgO–Al2O3–SiO2 (CMAS), and are valid up to 50 kbar and at least 1800 °C; they are the first high-temperature models for these phases to be developed for the Holland & Powell dataset. Live journalism is a new journalistic genre in which journalists present news stories to a live audience. This article investigates the journalistic manuscripts of live journalism performances. With the focus on texts, the article reaches beyond the live performance to explore the wider implications and potentials pioneered by live journalists.
