Two types of large, branched structures from the Lower Pleistocene (Calabrian) high-energy calcarenites of Favignana Island are described: Faviradixus robustus gen. et sp. nov. and Egadiradixus rectibrachiatus gen. et sp. nov. They may be interpreted as root structures of large plants, trees and trees or shrubs, respectively. The former taxon co-occurs with the marine animal trace fossils Ophiomorpha nodosa , Ophiomorpha isp., Thalassinoides isp. and Beaconites isp. Resume Dans une formation sommitale a Argiles bariolees du Trias superieur francais, deux niveaux a traces depas inedites de Dinosaures ont ete decouverts. Elles se rapportent a l'association Otozoum/Grallator qui n'a jamais ete definie precisement en Europe. Sa position stratigraphique precise dans la serie triasique et la comparaison avec les associations ichnologiques des USA et d'Afrique du Sud, confirment l'âge Norien des niveaux a empreintes. Le diagnostic archéologique réalisé en amont de l'extension de la plateforme Delta 3 a permis de compléter et d'approfondir les connaissances concernant le territoire de Dourges. Les vestiges mis au jour couvrent plusieurs millénaires et concernent les périodes protohistoriques (âge du Bronze et Hallstatt) et historiques (de l'Antiquité jusqu'à l'époque moderne). Pour les périodes protohistoriques, il s'agit d'éléments épars qui ne semblent pas constituer à proprement parler un site. The progressive installation of power plants based on renewable energy sources is improving the sustainability of the energy sector. Despite the availability of commercial solutions, most of the small islands in the world are nowadays affected by a deep dependence on fossil fuels. In this context, the paper investigates the feasibility of an energy mix composed by solar, wind and sea wave, suggesting a sizing approach based on the minimization of the Levelized Cost of Electricity of the entire energy mix. As case study, the Aeolian Islands are presented.
