Comparative evaluation of pulse width modulation techniques on effective DC link voltage utilization of grid connected inverter

In this paper, comparison between two different Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) techniques employed for three phase voltage source inverter (VSI) is discussed. The three phase voltage source inverter is basic topology used to supply a grid. In this paper we have design a LC filter between the inverter and the grid in order to stabilize the output voltage. The filter gives sinusoidal three phase voltage at the output of the inverter with almost zero/less harmonic distortion. A suitable PWM technique is employed to obtain the required output voltage in the line side of the inverter. An FPGA-Based Software Defined Radio Platform for the 2.4GHz ISM Band

A prototype of a Software Defined Radio (SDR) platform has been successfully designed and tested implementing a reconfigurable IEEE 802.11 and ZigBee receiver. The system exploits the reconfiguration capability of an FPGA for implementing a number of receiver configurations that share the same RF front-end. Configurations can be switched at run time, or can share the available logic and radio resource.

Design of a configurable multispectral imaging system based on an AOTF.

In this paper, we present a configurable multispectral imaging system based on an acousto-optic tunable filter (AOTF). Typically, AOTFs are used to filter a single wavelength at a time, but thanks to the use of a versatile sweeping frequency generator implemented with a direct digital synthesizer, the imager may capture a configurable spectral range. Experimental results show a good spectral and imaging response of the system for spectral bandwidth up to a 50 nm.

A parametric study on unbalanced three phase islanded microgrids with inverter interfaced units

In this paper, the solution of the power flow for unbalanced three phase microgrids systems is proposed. The study aims at the integration of inverter interfaced units using the control law used for primary voltage and frequency regulation, so as to take into account possible small variations of these parameters to account for sudden load changes. The proposed study deals with unbalanced systems which is the typical case of small distribution systems and shows how the power losses term varies as the regulators parameters vary as well, thus showing that these are sensitive parameters that could have an important role in optimal management of such systems.

Geometry-Based Modeling of Wideband Industrial Indoor Radio Propagation Channels

In this paper, we present a geometrical scattering model for a typical class of industrial indoor environments. The proposed industrial reference model takes into account scattering components arising from metallic structures and the surrounding walls of the investigated environment. Starting from the geometrical scattering model, we derive the analytical expressions of the probability density function (PDF) of the angle of arrival (AoA), PDF of the time of arrival (ToA), and the autocorrelation function (ACF) in the frequency domain.
