Il s’agit d’une des mutations majeures de l’époque contemporaine. Chaque ville possède des caractéristiques propres (humaines, morphologiques...) mais l’Îlot de Chaleur Urbain (ICU) apparaît comme un phénomène inhérent et commun à toutes. En août 2003, l’Europe a subi une périodeestivale caniculaire ayant causé la mort de plus de 70 000 personnes dont 20 000 uniquement en France (Robine et al, 2008).

Single-chain antibodies against a plant viral RNA-dependent RNA polymerase confer virus resistance.

Crop loss due to viral diseases is still a major problem for agriculture today. We present a strategy to achieve virus resistance based on the expression of single-chain Fv fragments (scFvs) against a conserved domain in a plant viral RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (RdRp), a key enzyme in virus replication. The selected scFvs inhibited complementary RNA synthesis of different plant virus RdRps in vitro and virus replication in planta. ABSTRACT Adeno-associated virus type 2 (AAV2) has gained much interest as a gene delivery vector. A hallmark of AAV2-mediated gene transfer is an intracellular conformational change of the virus capsid, leading to the exposure of infection-relevant protein domains. These protein domains, which are located on the N-terminal portion of the structural proteins VP1 and VP2, include a catalytic phospholipase A 2 domain and three clusters of basic amino acids. Kuvaamme artikkelissamme yhteisössä toteutettavaa palveluoppimispedagogiikkaa (community engaged service learning pedagogy) Toronton yliopiston suomen kielen ohjelman ja Toronton Suomi-kodin eli suomenkielisen seniorikeskuksen välillä. Osana suomi vieraana kielenä -kurssia opiskelijat vierailevat säännöllisesti Suomi-kodissa, osallistuvat sen toimintaan ja viettävät aikaa suomenkielisten senioreiden parissa. Maģīstra darbs „Rūdolfs Šteiners: interpretācijas „trešais ceļš” pievēršas Latvijas akadēmiskajā vidē mazāk pētīta austriešu izcelsmes filozofa un mistiķa Rūdolfa Šteinera (1861-1925) personībai un idejām. Darba mērķis ir iezīmēt to intelektuālo un kultūrvēsturisko kontekstu, kurā vislabāk ir iespējams uztvert un saprast viņa atstāto mantojumu. Darbs sastāv no trīs daļām: biogrāfiska ieskata Šteinera ideju ģenoloģijas procesā, ieskata viņa ideju recepcijas mūsdienu pētniecībā aspektos, un atsevišķu viņa tekstu, kas veltīti viņa radītās antropozofijas identitātes jautājumiem, analīzes. Eudaimonia Wellbeing Beliefs and its implications for employees´ wellbeing, organizational performance, and helping others

The aim of this doctoral thesis is to examine the impact of eudaimonia wellbeing beliefs – people conception of the nature and experience of wellbeing – on their wellbeing at workplace, on the organizational performance focused on helping others and on specific prosocial behaviours. Three empirical studies were conducted to this end, using different research designs and samples. Study 1 analyses the moderating role of the two dimensions of eudaimonia wellbeing beliefs (contribution-to-others and self-development) in the relationship between surface acting and exhaustion.
