Some perturbation results for quasi-bases and other sequences of vectors

We discuss some perturbation results concerning certain pairs of sequences of vectors in a Hilbert space $\Hil$ and producing new sequences which share, with the original ones, { reconstruction formulas on a dense subspace of $\Hil$ or on the whole space}. We also propose some preliminary results on the same issue, but in a distributional settings.

Let $ \mathscr E $ be a regular, strongly local Dirichlet form on $L^2(X, m)$ and $d$ the associated intrinsic distance. Assume that the topology induced by $d$ coincides with the original topology on $ X$, and that $X$ is compact, satisfies a doubling property and supports a weak $(1, 2)$-Poincar\'e inequality. We first discuss the (non-)coincidence of the intrinsic length structure and the gradient structure. Semiclassical Gevrey operators and magnetic translations

We study semiclassical Gevrey pseudodifferential operators acting on the Bargmann space of entire functions with quadratic exponential weights. Using some ideas of the time frequency analysis, we show that such operators are uniformly bounded on a natural scale of exponentially weighted spaces of holomorphic functions, provided that the Gevrey index is $\geq 2$.
Controllability and strong controllability of differential inclusions

Abstract In this paper, we prove sufficient conditions for controllability and strong controllability in terms of the Mordukhovich subdifferential for two classes of differential inclusions. The first one is the class of sub-Lipschitz multivalued functions introduced by Loewen–Rockafellar (1994) [10] . The second one, introduced recently by Clarke (2005) [18] , is the class of multivalued functions which are pseudo-Lipschitz and satisfy the so-called tempered growth condition. To do this, we establish an error bound result in terms of the Mordukhovich subdifferential outside Asplund spaces.
The variation of the maximal function of a radial function

We study the problem concerning the variation of the Hardy-Littlewood maximal function in higher dimensions. As the main result, we prove that the variation of the non-centered Hardy-Littlewood maximal function of a radial function is comparable to the variation of the function itself.
The Bishop–Phelps–Bollobás point property

Abstract In this article, we study a version of the Bishop–Phelps–Bollobas property. We investigate a pair of Banach spaces ( X , Y ) such that every operator from X into Y is approximated by operators which attain their norm at the same point where the original operator almost attains its norm. In this case, we say that such a pair has the Bishop–Phelps–Bollobas point property (BPBpp). We characterize uniform smoothness in terms of BPBpp and we give some examples of pairs ( X , Y ) which have and fail this property. Some stability results are obtained about l 1 and l ∞ sums of Banach spaces and we also study this property for bilinear mappings.
Geometry of spaces of compact operators

We introduce the notion of compactly locally reflexive Banach spaces and show that a Banach space X is compactly locally reflexive if and only if $\mathcal{K}(Y,X^{**})\subseteq\mathcal{K}(Y,X)^{**}$ for all reflexive Banach spaces Y. We show that X * has the approximation property if and only if X has the approximation property and is compactly locally reflexive. The weak metric approximation property was recently introduced by Lima and Oja. We study two natural weak compact versions of this property. This paper deals with the approximate subdifferential chain rule in a Banach space. It establishes specific results when the real-valued function is locally Lipschitzian and the mapping is strongly compactly Lipschitzian.
