In his writings, the Old-Polish preacher, Father Fabian Birkowski, many a time made references to reality of war, with which he was familiar due to his services as the camp chaplain. Thus, military motifs can be found in his sermons that were delivered on different occasions. He taught the art of good fighting by, among others, recalling the glorious memory of sons of the Crown, both members of clergy and laity, recollecting historic events from the history of the nation, propagating the cult of saints and preaching the Gospel on particular Sundays of the liturgical year, and all these issues are discussed in this paper. The management of crop-livestock systems at a territory level: the example of grain legume crops and of monogastric livestock in Burgundy, France

Although cereals and oil seed crops are very developed in Burgundy, the area of grain legumes cultivation is small. Concerning monogastric livestock, the region is characterised by a medium size poultry production focussed on markets under quality and origin signs (SIQO) and a relatively small pig production. Although a tendency of co-location of these productions can be observed (at territory and farm scales) and some animals consume locally-produced proteins, there is no strong functional link between these crops and animal activities. Integrity of industrial pipework is ensured through routine inspection. Internal visual inspection tools are capable of characterising degradation in the form of corrosion, pitting, erosion and cracking. The accuracy of such inspection systems has a direct impact on decisions regarding the remaining lifetime of the asset. By minimising error margins, the asset may be operated with confidence for longer, with less uncertainty. Artykuł skupia się na wybranych aspektach osobowości młodzieży grającej i niegrającej w narracyjne gry fabularne. Założono, że młodzież grająca będzie miała silniejsze wewnętrzne poczucie kontroli oraz niższy poziom neurotyzmu niż młodzież niegrająca. W badaniu kwestionariuszowym przeprowadzonym na N = 194 osobach (z czego gracze to n = 101 osób) uzyskano wyniki zgodne z zakładanymi hipotezami. Wybrana metoda nie pozwala na stwierdzenie kierunku zależności, jednak rezultaty stoją w opozycji do negatywnego stereotypu graczy oraz mogą być punktem wyjścia do dalszych analiz.

La lectura es un tema que preocupa cada día más. Los bajos índices de consumo, los resultados de comprensión lectora de los alumnos y el reto que supone el nuevo contexto digital han provocado todo un debate en torno a la lectura y su promoción. Este artículo analiza las investigaciones publicadas entre 2000-2015 en revistas internacionales indexadas en Scopus y en WoS. Estos trabajos resaltan la necesidad de abordar esta temática desde una mirada interdisciplinar y empírica que permita establecer las bases para una correcta actuación y la consolidación de hábitos de lectura estables, especialmente entre los niños y jóvenes.
