Abstract A study of the nucleation and growth of MoO 3 generated by interaction of oxygen with Mo(100), Mo(110), and Mo(111) single crystalline surfaces is investigated at high oxygen pressure (10 4 Pa) and low temperature (620 to 820 K). The results of RHEED and AES analyses prove that under these oxidation conditions, MoO 3 nucleates directly from the metal without intermediate formation of MoO 2 or nonstoichiometric molybdenum oxide such as Mo 4 O 11 . The structure and orientation of MoO 3 nuclei are characterized in relation with the parent molybdenum surface. The capability of liquid chromatography with micellar mobile phases of sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS), of allowing the direct injection of biological fluids into reversed-phase columns, was applied to the determination of sulfonamides in milk and honey samples. The chromatographic behavior of a group of 15 sulfonamides was studied at pH 3.0 where the drugs showed a greater separation space. Acetonitrile was added to the mobile phase to decrease the retention of the most hydrophobic drugs and increase the efficiencies, which yielded a higher resolution. The shell structure of the valence electrons is clearly observed in all alkali and noble metal clusters containing up to hundreds of atoms[1 – 4]. It is seen in the abundances of the clusters, in the ionization potential and in the polarizability. The shell structure of the valence electrons is closely related to the shell model of nuclei, but is simpler owing to the negligibly small spin-orbit interaction. The ability to produce all sizes of metal clusters has made the metal clusters a test ground for the super-shell structure[5].

Abstract New prodrugs of sulfacetamide as azo compounds were synthesized and have been evidenced through elemental and spectral analyses. Their synthesis was carried out by coupling the diazonium salt of sulfacetamide with activated carbanion salt of ethyl acetoacetate at 0 ˚C to afford the hydrazono derivative 3. Other prodrugs as sulfacetamide-pyrazoles, 5a, 5b and 5c were furnished via cyclocondensation of 3 with aryl/heteroaryl hydrazines. Abstract The impact of grain boundary (GB) ridge on motion of high-angle GB in Zn was studied. The steady-state motion of faceted GB half-loop with [ 10 1 ¯ 0 ] tilt GB and GB ridge was recorded in-situ. The temperatures of faceting–roughening transition were experimentally defined for three GB half-loops. Above the transition temperature GB half-loops had GB “rough-to-rough” ridge with continuously curved GB segments. Below the transition temperature a facet appeared and coexisted with two “facet-to-rough” ridges. Background: Calcified juxtafacet cysts in the cervical spine are extremely rate. Such symptomatic cysts commonly cause neck pain, radiculopathy, or even myelopathy. MR and CT studies typically document cord/ root compression. On occasion, some of these cysts will spontaneously regress, while many others may warrant surgical removal. Case Description: A 70-year-old male presented with a 2-year history of a progressive tetraparesis. Musculoskeletal pain (MSP) is the leading cause of years lived with disability. In consequence, to reduce MSP and its associated sickness absence is a major challenge. Previous interventions have been developed to reduce MSP and improve return to work of workers with MSP, but combined approaches and exhaustive evaluation are needed. The objective of the INTEVAL_Spain project is to evaluate the effectiveness of a multifaceted intervention in the workplace to prevent and manage MSP in nursing staff.
