Desde que dio inicio el nuevo siglo, varios estudios sobre la culicidofauna de la Hispaniola han elevado el conocimiento de este grupo de artrópodos, muy relevantes desde el punto de vista médico y veterinario. During the studies on the invertebrate fauna of the subterranean part of the “Wieliczka” Salt Mine in Wieliczka, Poland, the presence of many specimens of the dipteran species Meoneura obscurella (Fallén 1823) was observed. Organic remains and faeces related to the presence of mice (Mus musculus) were indicated as a potential food source for the insects. M. obscurella displays lecithotrophic viviparity (ovoviviparity), which has developed due to extremely harsh abiotic conditions and a lack of food. Vides faktoru loma epigeisko posmkāju faunas izplatībā Glāžupes piekrastē

Maģistra darba ietvaros ir veikts pētījums un analizēti dati par epigeiskās posmkāju faunas izplatību Glāžupes piekrastes biotopos 2012. un 2014. gadā. Pētījums tika veikts piecos dažādos biotopos Glāžupes piekrastē. Kopumā tika ievākti paraugi no 373 augsnes lamatām, kuri pēc tam tika sadalīti pa taksonomiskajām grupām un noteikts īpatņu skaits. Darbā apskatīta epigeiskās posmkāju faunas bioliģija un ekoloģija, pētījuma teritorijā ietvertie biotopi un vides faktoru ietekme uz tiem. Pētījumā iegūtajiem datiem veikta matemātiskā apstrāde un analīze. Darbs sastāv no teorētiskās un praktiskās daļas aprakstiem. Darbā ir 38 attēli.

Abstract Macroinvertebrates of two ex-manor ponds located in Chroscina, Opole Region (Poland) were studied from 2015 to 2018 to investigate their community composition and diversity and evaluate the heterogeneity of communities on spatial and temporal scale referring to environmental variables and revitalisation work. A total of 32 taxa were recorded (at the family level, except Oligochaeta), 13 of which were Ephemeroptera, Odonata and Trichoptera, recognised as sensitive groups in lentic ecosystems. Augsnes mezofaunas struktūra Engures ezera dabas parkā

Bakalaura darba pētījums veikts Engures ezera dabas parka ekoreģionā un tā tuvākajā apkārtnē. Darbā tiek aprakstīta augsnes mezofauna un analizēta tās veidotās struktūras dažādos biotopos un to parauglaukumos, kas iekļauti ILTER (International Longt Term Ecological Research network) programmā. Bakalaura darbā iekļauta vispārīga informācija par augsnes faunu un parauglaukumos konstatētajiem mezofaunas pārstāvjiem. Pētījums ir veikts sešos biotopos. Katrā parauglaukumā noteikts mezofaunas taksonomiskais sastāvs, struktūra un tās blīvums. Izstrādātā bakalaura darba mērķis ir novērtēt upju ekoloģiskās kvalitātes uzlabošanas pasākumu efektivitāti, kā indikatoru izmantojot ihtiocenozes. Bakalaura darba ietvaros tika apkopota pieejamā informācija par Latvijas upju atjaunošanas projektu vietām, īstenoto pasākumu mērogu un citiem parametriem. Lai spētu novērtēt ihtiocenozes izmaiņas pēc projektu pasākumu īstenošanas, tika izmantoti Pārtikas drošības, dzīvnieku veselības un vides zinātniskā institūta “BIOR” ihtiofaunas esošie monitoringa dati. An Upper Mississippian echinoderm microfauna from the Genicera Formation of northern León (Carboniferous, Cantabrian Mountains, N Spain)

For the first time an echinoderm microfauna is recorded from the cephalopod limestone facies (‘griotte facies’) of the lower Carboniferous (Mississippian) Genicera Fm. (Alba Fm.). The formation is widespread in the Cantabrian Mountains in NW Spain, but the ossicles are from some sections in the surroundings of the Bernesga valley in northern León. They have been derived from insoluble acetic acid residues from samples of the upper and especially of the uppermost part of the formation (Canalón Mb. and Millaró Beds).
