Tässä tutkielmassa kuvataan kokemuksia soittoharrastuksen jatkamisesta aikuisiällä sekä näille kokemuksille annettuja merkityksiä. Tutkimuksen aihetta on lähestytty fenomenologisesta tutkimusperinteestä käsin. Tämän tutkimuksen aikuiset soitonharrastajat eivät ole vasta-alkajia soittoharrastuksessaan, vaan heillä on takanaan soitto-opintoja lapsuudessa ja nuoruudessa. Yhtenä tutkimuksen tavoitteena on antaa kuva siitä, millä tavoilla soittoharrastusta voi jatkaa aikuisena. Tutkimus toteutettiin haastattelemalla kuutta aikuista soitonharrastajaa heidän soittoharrastukseensa liittyvistä kokemuksistaan. AbstractIn this paper, I will provide a phenomenological analysis of somatic obsessions at times present in obsessive–compulsive disorder. I will compare two different types of bodily obsessions, which have a different neurological-physiological underpinning: anguishing awareness of one’s own heartbeat and of one’s own breathing. In addition, I will contrast these two with how one experiences one’s own liver. Developmental plasticity enables organisms to cope with environmental heterogeneity, such as seasonal variation in climatic conditions, and is thought to affect a species’ capability to adapt to environments with novel seasonal and ecological dynamics. We studied developmental plasticity of the widespread tropical butterfly, Bicyclus safitza, which reaches the southern edge of its distribution in the temperate zone of South Africa.
