Del caballero épico al caballero novelesco: acercamiento a la evolución del personaje

En este artículo se revisarán las paulatinas transformaciones que sufrió el caballero literario medieval a partir de su nacimiento en la canción de gesta y hasta su consolidación como personaje protagonista de las obras más representativas de la novela de caballerías medieval. Partiendo de la configuración del caballero épico románico, se analizan las características que se le van agregando a partir de los romans de materia clásica, como el interés amoroso, para convertirlo en un personaje novelesco y ya plenamente cortés en Chrétien de Troyes. Se llega hasta la prosa de ficción del siglo XIII, en la que se acaba de redondear la figura con los rasgos aportados por la religión y la ideología.

Mūsdienās elektroniskais pasts ir kļuvis par plaši izmantotu komunikācijas līdzekli uzņēmumos. Pētījuma mērķis bija noteikt lietišķo e-pastu reģistra izplatītākās iezīmes Latvijas azartspēļu uzņēmuma iekšējā un ārējā komunikācijā. Pētījumā tika izmantots Baibera un Konrāda (2009) reģistra analīzes modelis individuālajam e-pastam. Bodily gestures in music performance play an important role in the perception and appreciation of music by the audience. Performance variations can be identified by observers even when no auditory cues are available; visual kinematic information has been demonstrated to be crucial in identifying expressive intentions. The current thesis explores violin dyads performing an unfamiliar song. High quality optical motion capture was employed to record full body movement. New data on the distribution, biology, intra- and inter-population variability and conservation state of Sicilian populations of Anacolia webbii are provided. Two new localities are reported, so that total five fragmented populations occur in the island, all of them in a rather small area in the western part of the province of Palermo. They live on wet limestone or sandstone cliffs with base at 900–1200 m a.s.l. and N, N-NE aspect, within communities of Aceri campestris-Querco-ilicis sigmetum. Elliptical Fourier Descriptors for shape retrieval in biological images

The retrieval of information in a standard database can be obtained in different ways and in some cases a number of steps are necessary to extract the sought for information. More difficulties exist when we are looking for a pictorial information in a database. This paper presents a method for finding an image in a biological database based on elliptical Fourier descriptors. Fourier descriptors are considered here as textual information and a distance function is proposed to evaluate the best result. Fourier descriptors and distance function are used to retrieve image in pictorial database.

Immersive Virtual Reality (later VR) has its potential in enabling learning experiences. Several studies adopt experiential learning as a key concept to understand the outcomes of VR. Recognition of briefly presented familiar and unfamiliar faces

Early processing stages in the perception of familiar and unfamiliar faces were studied in four experiments by varying the type of available facial information in a four alternative forced choice recognition task. Both reaction time and recognition accuracy served as dependent measures. The observed data revealed an asymmetry in processing familiar and unfamiliar faces. A markedly weak inversion effect and strong blurring effect suggest a limited usage of spatial relations within early processing stages of unfamiliar faces.
