0126: New regulators of iron metabolism, Hepcidin and Erythroferrone, in acute myocardial infarction.
2016
Background Dysfunctional iron storage and transport are common in patients with chronic heart failure and associated with poor prognosis. Body iron could contribute to the pathogenesis of coronary artery disease (CAD) through its ability to induce oxidative stress. However, studies on the relationship between iron metabolism and CAD have yielded conflicting results. Patients and Methods From the obseRvatoire des Infarctus de Cote d’Or (RICO) survey, 31 consecutive patients admitted in Intensive Care Unit for a first AMI were included. Serum concentrations of iron, transferrin, ferritin, the iron-regulatory hormone hepcidin and erythroferrone (a new hepcidin-regulating hormone), transferrin …
Benefits of area-wide traffic calming measures: outcomes still to assess
2008
The role of traffic calming schemes in urban network management is mainly to minimize undesirable effect of traffic in residential areas; in this context accident reduction can be a realistic objective. Several studies, indeed, inform us that traffic calming is a major part of the treatments available to reduce road accidents in urban areas. Paradoxically the increase of the accident rate per kilometre travelled has been observed in the urban context as result of the wellknown accident migration phenomenon. In connection to these considerations, the effectiveness of traffic calming measures on road safety is discussed in this paper. Then, after a synthetic exposition of the conceptual formu…

Synthesis and characterization of ferrocene-based Schiff base and ferrocenecarboxaldehyde oxime and their adsorptive removal of methyl blue from aque…
2018
Abstract The ferrocene-based Schiff base 3 was synthetized by reaction of ferrocenecarboxaldehyde 1 with 4-aminoantipyrine 2. However, the reaction of 1 with hydroxylamine affords ferrocenecarboxaldehyde oxime 4. Compounds 3 and 4 were fully characterized by IR, 1H, 13C and DEPT-135 NMR spectroscopy, elemental analyses and also by single crystal X-ray diffraction. Compounds 3 and 4 were used to remove anionic methyl blue dye from wastewater. The results established that both compounds have high adsorption capacity towards methyl blue. Langmuir adsorption capacity of compound 4 (464 mmol/g) is much higher than that of compound 3 (193 mmol/g) at 25 °C. The kinetics data was fitted well pseudo…

2002
In order to evaluate for the vineyard, the additional risk of freezing, which could be generated by a railway embankment of the High Speed Line (TGV «Paris-Strasbourg») a canvas cover of the future embankment (length 480 m, height 3 m maxi) was drawn up in the bottom of a wineyard slope. Measurements of Actinothermal Index (AI) Temperatures, at the height of the bud (at 50 cm of the surface) and measurements of of cold air windslopes, were carried out on a microclimatic scale. We recorded 19 points of measurements, without then with the presence of the canvas cover, for the nights characterized by a radiative cooling (wind £ 2m.s-2, clear sky) during spring 2001. The possible incidence of t…
2006
Public transport management is currently going through important changes, passing from one scale to another: decentralizing from the national level and extending at the local level. The range of transport management powers of the French administrative regions have widened, thus creating new management problems. Within the context of these new questions, our research proposes management solutions which take into account both the continual evolution of daily mobility and the new scales of transport management. More specifically, we considered a specific stage often neglected in geographical approaches to the suject. This stage called traffic generation consists in modelling the process of cho…

DERIVAZIONE DEI MODELLI PREVISIONALI PER LE ROTATORIE URBANE. UN CASO STUDIO,
2008
Molecular nanostructures on ferromagnetic metals for spintronics
2017
