The in vitro fertilization and andrology laboratories are at the center of assisted reproductive technologies and the place where technicians and embryologists manipulate gametes and preimplantation-stage embryos with the goal of achieving the best embryo for transfer. Through the years, these laboratories have seen developments in technique, technology, and testing. Pollen‐tube growth rate and seed‐siring success among Betula pendula clones

The aim of this study was to investigate whether genetically different pollen donors (Betula pendula clones) differed in pollen-tube growth rate across 11 maternal plants and in vitro, and whether the differences between the donors were consistent across the recipients. To compare the seed-siring success of competing pollen donors, a two-donor hand-pollination experiment with six donors and six recipients was conducted. AbstractWhile the role of forestry in mitigating climate change is increasingly subject to political commitment, other areas, such as water protection, may be at risk. In this study, we ask whether surface waters are sufficiently safeguarded in relation to the 2015 launch of a series of measures to intensify forest management for mitigation of climate change in Norway. Nitrogen (N) fertilisation is one of the most important external inputs in assessing coriander seed yield and plant growth. Recent concerns related to the misuse of N fertilisers in agricultural environments, however, stress the opportunity for a fine-tuning of N management in order to optimise the use of this element, avoiding losses and reducing environmental hazards. This article provides for an overview of some relevant developments in the case-law of the ECtHR in 2020. Priority will be given to Grand Chamber judgments and decisions and those of the Chambers deemed to be relevant from a substantial and procedural viewpoint.
