Il Report analizza il diritto penale tedesco relativo a quattro diversi tipi di traffico: il traffico di migranti, la tratta di esseri umani, il traffico di stupefacenti e il contrabbando di sigarette. Il Report fa parte di una più ampia ricerca ("The New Era of Smuggling in the Mediterranean Sea", NESMeS) volta ad analizzare i suddetti traffici illeciti nell'area del Mediterraneo, con particolare riguardo ai seguenti paesi: Germania, Grecia, Italia, Portogallo e Spagna. Arguing to convince: the rhetoric of scientific discourse

This paper deals with scientific discourse as a rhetorical discourse from the point of view of the structure of the classical parts of oral discourse (and all kinds of discourse). The role of argumentation in discourse, with the perlocutionary goal of convincing the receiver, is studied as the foundation of the rhetorical nature of scientific discourse. A scientific treatise by Santiago Ramón y Cajal is analysed using the tools provided by rhetoric in order to prove the rhetorical nature of scientific discourse. The main contribution of this paper is to establish the crucial role of argumentation in scientific discourse and to demonstrate its permeation of the entire discourse.

L’articolo intende affrontare uno studio iconografico sulle rappresentazioni più emblematiche della città di Agrigento nelle quali i viaggiatori del Grand Tour tentarono di catturare l’essenza di quei luoghi un tempo massima sacralità del culto pagano, successivamente divenuti meta di approfondimento culturale che ispirarono l’immaginazione di disegnatori e letterati giunti in Sicilia, già a partire dal XVII secolo, per completare gli studi universitari e annotare le proprie esperienze suggellandole in quelle che Platone definiva “le forme più alte e più vere di conoscenza: le idee” per poi raccontarle attraverso itinerari grafici.
Cultural and socio-economic impacts of Mediterranean marine protected areas

Marine protected areas (MPAs) may be important for protecting the marine environment, but they may also have substantial socio-cultural impacts about which very little is currently known, or acknowledged. In the Mediterranean, few data are available on the socio-economic consequences of MPAs. The present study reviews the existing data on MPAs in Spain, France, Italy and Greece. A general increase in tourist activities in Mediterranean MPAs is evident, as are increases in the abundances of larger fish species, although there are no data indicating yields for fisheries increase adjacent to MPAs.
