Se presenta un estudio con estudiantes universitarios españoles con dominios básico, intermedio y avanzado de inglés como lengua extranjera. El objetivo fue estudiar la efectividad en el Control de la Comprensión (CC) en inglés, comparado con el que se tiene en español, y explicar los resultados a partir del modelo de comprensión de textos desarrollado por Kintsch y otros colegas. Nuestro foco de atención fue la representación semántica, diferenciando el CC a nivel micro y macroestructural. [ES] Esta contribución presenta un estudio de traducción español-inglés basado en un corpus formado por las páginas web turísticas oficiales de las 15 ciudades españolas que hasta la fecha han sido declaradas Patrimonio Cultural Inmaterial de la Humanidad de la UNESCO. Nos centramos en la traducción de los referentes culturales y, más concretamente, en el léxico relacionado con la comida y la bebida. ABSTRACT: In this paper the Spanish reception of hieroglyphs, and its outcome, is presented as an important aspect of the process of transmission of hieroglyphs in Early-Modern Europe. This change of perspective is important because it gives a general context for the phenomenon in Spain, clarifies its ties with the rest of the continent through the process of diffusion and –perhaps more relevantly– highlights the distinct characteristics that hieroglyphs assumed in Spain as response to a different mentality, culminating with the creation of what the author regards as «classic Spanish hieroglyphs». ABSTRACT: The 12 th century saw the culmination of a massive reform movement within the Church, intended both to reinforce the figures of the Pope and bishops and to standardise the Western European liturgy, based on the one utilized at that time in the papal chapel. To this end, a number of books were published, among which was a new version of the pontifical, accompanied by an iconographic cycle in which the descriptive dimension of the portrayals stands out prominently to support the text in its task of ritual codification. This article defines, from a theoretical perspective, the scientific arbitration report as discursive genre, located in a chain of genres with two recipients, the purpose being to contextualize why a mitigating courtesy strategy is activated. Se explica el proceso de liofilización como método para salvar documentos dañados por el agua, realizado por primera vez en España. Tras una inundación acaecida en 1993 en la Biblioteca de la Universidad de La Laguna, se llevó a cabo la recuperación de once obras, impresas en el siglo XVIII, mediante la técnica de liofilización, que consiste en congelación y secado en cámara de vacío. Ficolin-1 (M), ficolin-2 (L), ficolin-3 (H) and mannan-binding lectin (MBL) activate the complement system and have opsonic activity. The specificity of ficolin-3 is poorly characterized and currently limited to a few ligands only. We present new specific targets for human ficolin-3, identified among lipopolysaccharides (LPSs, endotoxin) of Hafnia alvei. The interaction was restricted to LPSs of four strains: 23, Polish Collection of Microorganisms (PCM) 1200, PCM 1203 and PCM 1205 and limited to their O-specific polysaccharides (O-specific PSs) composed of different numbers of oligosaccharide (OS) repeating units (RUs). This paper analyses the socioeconomic factors that influence the disclosure of sustainability information on 99 local government websites in 2018 in countries that make up the Pacific Alliance (PA) in Latin America, associated with internal and external demands that public entities have for accountability in social and environmental issues. We use as methodology a content analysis of the sustainability information disclosed by local entities on their websites and a regression of Ordinary Least Squares (OLS).
