The perception of some mixtures of odorants engages configural abilities, i.e. the perception of these mixtures as single odor objects. For instance, data in human adults demonstrated that a mixture of two odorants (AB), one smelling like strawberry and the other like caramel, generates the configural perception of the odor of pineapple (Le Berre et al., 2008; Barkat et al., 2012). Configural processing may be adaptive also for young organisms, to which rapid extraction of chemical information from the maternal environment, highly complex, is a prerequisite to survival. Rafał Urban (1893-1972) był z pochodzenia Ślązakiem. Język jego utworów prozatorskich, dramatów i wierszy przesycony jest elementami rodzimej gwary. Artykuł omawia charakterystyczne dla stylu utworów gry ; słowne przybierające różne formy, od etymologii po paronomazje i kalambury. Figury te są przejawem indywidualnych upodobań autora. Pisarz bawił się językiem, wykorzystując wszelkie ku temu okazje na wszystkich poziomach systemu, od fonetyki po semantykę i składnię. Figury etymologiczne służą też semantyce wypowiedzi, pozwalają twórcy modyfikować bądź wprowadzać nowe odcienie znaczeniowe fraz, bawić czytelnika, sugerować nadrealność i niekonwencjonalność świata zdarzeń i postaci.

Pułkownik Zbigniew Jacorzyński to postać wybitnie zasłużona dla polskiego pożarnictwa. Urodził się 8 sierpnia 1921 roku w Cieszynie. Był synem oficera Wojska Polskiego. W młodości udzielał się w polskim harcerstwie. W 1937 roku stanął do poboru i dostał przydział do broni pancernej, głównie z powodu fascynacji motoryzacją. W 1939 roku ukończył liceum o profilu matematyczno-fizycznym, po czym odbył obowiązkową sześciotygodniową służbę w Junackich Hufcach Pracy w Równym, na granicy Polesia i Wołynia.
