Since its introduction in the 1990s1, the concept of securitization has received widespread attention well beyond the field of international relations in the context of which it first appeared. This paper focuses on one of the answers that have been given to the question: what type of change is to be pursued to limit human impact on the Earth while considering the needs of poor and disadvantaged communities? In particular it looks at a proposal that combines sustainable development approaches with market mechanisms and top- down technocratic responses: Payments for Ecosystem Services frameworks. They have been criticized by many points of view and this paper questions, in particular, their very reliance on the market, questioning their appropriateness for the regulation of conser- vation activities and their interaction with local communities.

Le Mémorial italien en l’honneur des victimes italiennes du camp d’Auschwitz-Birkenau, construit grâce à des contributions des mouvements de gauche et syndicats, fut inauguré en 1980 dans le Bloc 21 de ce même camp. Il fut conçu par l'ANED1 et développé par l'écrivain juif italien Primo Levi, les architectes BBPR2, le peintre Pupino Samonà en collaboration avec le musicien Luigi Nono et le cinéaste Nelo Risi.

The semi-automatic process of film-making that drives Soft Cinema depicts important aspects regarding the functioning of the software, algorithms and electro-computational automation. The essay, by extending the theoretical reflection of the authors, shows how these aspects play a crucial role in the development of new digital technologies and their relationship with contemporary capitalism.
