Antivielu atbildei ir būtiska loma cīņā ar SARS-CoV-2 infekciju un uz to noteikšanu balstās epidemioloģiskie pētījumi, kas ļauj spriest par vīrusa izplatību. Ar pašlaik pieejamo antivielu testu palīdzību var noteikt antivielas pret šī vīrusa S un N proteīniem, bet tās var veidoties arī pret citiem vīrusa antigēniem, taču to prevalence un funkcionālā loma nav zināma. Šajā darbā tika izstrādāts antigēnu mikrorindu tests, kas satur 30 SARS-CoV-2 antigēnus vai to fragmentus un ar tā palīdzību 103 COVID-19 pacientos izpētīta IgG, IgA, IgM un IgE antivielu veidošanās dinamika un prevalence. In times of educational expansion, privileged families are looking for new strategies of distinction. Referring to Pierre Bourdieu���s theory of distinction, we argue that choosing Latin at school ��� a language that is no longer spoken and therefore has no direct value ��� is one of the strategies of privileged families to set themselves apart from less privileged families. Sequential variation in genomic RNA patterns of human rotaviruses isolated from infantile gastroenteritis

The incidence and RNA electrophoretypes of rotaviral isolates obtained from infants and young children with acute gastroenteritis were studied from October, 1985 through April, 1986. Analysis of the viral RNA was carried out by Polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis followed by silver staining. Fourteen electrophoretypes were identified. A single dominant electrophoretype was found during the first months of the rotavirus seasonal outbreak. In contrast, a large variety of RNA patterns were observed during the latter portion of the study period. El presente artículo es una reflexión acerca del valor ético y cívico de los proyectos de Aprendizaje Servicio, a partir de argumentos y pruebas procedentes de un proceso de revisión bibliográfica, pero elaborando asimismo una fundamentación propia a partir de un análisis hermenéutico de esta metodología de enseñanza-aprendizaje. Bakalaura darbā veikts pētījums par Ogres ielejas morfoloģiju Viduslatvijas zemienes posmā. Darba teorētiskajā daļā apzināti agrāk veikto pētījumu rezultāti par Ogres ieleju un veikta literatūras analīze par upju ieleju morfoloģisko uzbūvi un to pētniecības metodēm. Darbs balstīts uz Latvijas ģeotelpiskās informācijas aģentūras izsniegtajiem Lidar datiem un autora veiktajiem lauka pētījumiem. Iegūtie rezultāti apstrādāti Global Mapper, Qgis, ArcView un Microstation vidēs. Pētījuma rezultātā iegūti jauni, augstas precizitātes dati par Ogres ielejas morfoloģiju. Pētījuma rezultāti liecina par Ogres ielejas sarežģīto uzbūvi un tās posmveidīgo attīstību pēc teritorijas deglaciācijas.
Electrical control of the nonlinear properties of plasmonic nanostructures

This work brings nano-electronics and nano-photonics technologies together to create an electron- plasmon device whose linear and nonlinear optical properties are electrically controlled. Here, we present the first demonstration of nonlinear photoluminescence modulation by electrical means in an uncluttered configuration. To this purpose, plasmonic nanoantennas are interfaced with elec- trical connections inducing localized regions of electron accumulation and depletion and therefore affecting the optical response.
