With population ageing, the demand for home care of the disabled elderly is increasing and a large part of care is provided by informal caregivers. This paper focuses on the determinants of care provision by children to an old, single and disabled parent. We focus on two-child families and apply a semi-structural methodology, already implemented on European data (survey SHARE). Pharmaciens et coordination des soins primaires en France : quels enjeux ?

Multi-professional coordination is a strong axis of the reorganization of primary care in France. While this coordination concerns a priori all health professionals, some of them actually are still marginally involved. This article examines the challenges of integrating pharmacists into primary care in France. On the one hand, it is based on an analysis of experiments carried out in other health systems, and on their evaluations. On the other hand, it develops an initial reflection on the levers and obstacles that could explain in France, the poor integration of pharmacists but also on the challenges of a stronger presence of these professionals in the coordination of primary care.

What is the macroeconomic impact of ambitious structural reforms on product and labour markets?

What impact would ambitious structural reforms implemented on product and labour markets have on growth? The authors propose an assessment, using a panel of 14 countries, of the consequences of the adoption of “best practices”, defined as the average level of regulations observed in the three economies where they are the least cumbersome. Their simulations show that the implementation of such reforms should lead to a very significant increase in productivity in many countries, in particular in the euro area.

Subcontracting is a common practice in road transport, especially in parcel transport operations. Parcel transport is defined as the collection and distribution of shipments of less than three tons. Deliveries and pick-up rounds in urban areas present some specificities (such as difficult traffic and parking situations) which contribute in the high the use of subcontracting within the parcel transport sector. Sub-contracting allows parcel carriers to minimize the costs of urban trips and to provide a flexible and cost-efficient service to shippers.
