The aim of this paper is to analyze the spatial changes in the Dijon urban area (COMADI) by studying in particular the new tendencies of localization of the high order producer services. Our results display a multicentric structure of the COMADI which exhibits several employment poles. Not only the economic composition of these poles differs between the central pole and the peripheral ones but this composition changes over the study period (1990-1999). New localization logics appear for the high order services : if the historical center remains specialized in financial activities, insurance and real estate (FIRE), the other producer services are more likely to be localized in the periphery.…
How do remuneration committees affect corporate social responsibility disclosure? empirical evidence from an international perspective

The main goal of this study is to analyze whether the existence of remuneration committees tend to disclose more corporate social responsibility (CSR) information. In addition, we test the moderating role played by the proportion of independent directors on boards of directors with the relationship between the constitution of remuneration committees and CSR disclosure. Corporate board and default risk of financial firms

This paper analyses the impact of corporate board structure on default risk of European banking firms. We focus on four core aspects of boards that have been addressed in Directive 2013/36/ EU to strengthen the corporate governance of banks: the size of boards, their independence, the participation of female directors and CEO duality. We employ panel data analysis to study the 109 European listed banks between 2002 and 2019. Default risk is estimated by Merton’s (1974) distance to default. We take into account the presence of unobservable heterogeneity, simultaneity and dynamic endogeneity and estimate the model using the dynamic difference and dynamic system GMM methodologies. Their platforms reflect concern with enhancing the probability of being elected, but some candidates often, or all candidates occasionally, voluntarily adept stances that reduce that probability. Governments care about their popularity, but sometimes they choose, even before an election, to announce or implement policies that are unpopular. For most people, the phenomenon is no news and is not altogether a unhappy one. The aim of this article consists in measuring in which way health policies in developing countries are contributing to sustainable development goals. Firstly, a return on the terminology and the abstract contents of the sustainable development allows us to identify it with the cumulative and circular process, according to which the economic growth generates human development. We put secondly in motto the crucial role of health in the maintenance of this virtuous circle, to appreciate the opportunity of health policies in the way they lead to reinforce links between economic growth and human development.
Une analyse exploratoire des disparités régionales dans l'Europe élargie

http://www.regionetdeveloppement.u-3mrs.fr/; National audience; L'objectif de cet article est d'analyser les inégalités régionales dans l'Union Européenne élargie à l'aide de l'Analyse Exploratoire des Données Spatiales appliquée aux PIB par tête des 258 régions de l'Europe des 27 sur la période 1995-2000. Les résultats montrent l'existence d'une forte autocorrélation spatiale globale et locale ainsi qu'une forte hétérogénéité dans la distribution des richesses.
