Downregulation of miRNA17-92 cluster marks Vγ9Vδ2 T cells from patients with rheumatoid arthritis

Abstract Background We aimed to evaluate the phenotype, function, and microRNA (miRNA)17–92 cluster expression in Vγ9Vδ2 T-cell subsets and the correlation with immune response in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients. Methods Peripheral blood from 10 early RA untreated patients and 10 healthy donors (HD) was obtained. Polyclonal Vγ9Vδ2 T-cell lines were generated and analysed by flow cytometry. Background The functional profile of cytomegalovirus (CMV)-specific CD8+ T cells that associate with protection from and control of CMV DNAemia in allogeneic stem cell transplant (allo-SCT) recipients remains incompletely characterized. Methods We enumerated pp65 and immediate early (IE)-1-specific CD8+ T cells expressing interferon-gamma, tumor necrosis factor-alpha, and CD107a, by flow cytometry in 94 patients at days +30 and +60 after allo-SCT. Time-resolved detection and analysis of skin backscattered optical signals (remission photoplethysmography or PPG) provide rich information on skin blood volume pulsations and can serve for reliable cardiovascular assessment. Single- and multiple-channel PPG concepts are discussed. The aims of this study were to: (1) assess the effects of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) on brain activity in depressed patients as measured by single photon emission tomography (SPECT); (2) evaluate the predictive value of brain SPECT on the antidepressant efficacy of rTMS.
