A New Theoretical Approach on Teenage Cyclist-Vehicle Crash

Data obtained in teenage cyclist impact against three vehicles (sedan, SUV and Pick Up), tested in previous works, are analyzed to verify the theoretical results by the coupling of momentum conservation principle and energy conservation principle. The speed of vehicle and thorax are compared with theoretical ones, obtaining an excellent agreement. Following the results found in the literature, particular emphasis is done on teenager cyclist thorax and head speeds, indicating that the cyclist speed can be theoretically until 1,41 times the impact speed, while greater values, until 2, are obtained in the simulations. Tässä artikkelissa tarkastelemme sosiaalisen median vaikuttajien seuraamisen, kaveripaineen ja sosiodemografisten muuttujien yhteyttä nuorten kulutusasenteisiin. Tutkimus pohjautuu kuluttajaksi sosiaalistumisen teorioihin sosiaalisen taustan ja muuttuvan mediavaikuttamisen kontekstissa. Tutkimusaineistona käytetään 800:lle 15-19-vuotiaalle nuorelle tehtyä kyselytutkimusta. Aineisto on analysoitu rakenneyhtälömallinnuksella. Settings-based approaches have become an increasing health promotion focus since the World Health Organization’s 1986 Ottawa Charter. While schools, cities, and prisons have implemented this approach, its development within sports environments is recent. Sports are a popular leisure-time activity, requiring validated tools to measure health promotion activity. The aim of this paper was to gain an understanding of the views of a group of physical education teacher educators on the purpose(s) of school physical education and whether, how and why these views have changed over time. Semi-structured individual interviews were carried out with thirteen physical education teacher educators; a fourteenth participant responded to interview questions in writing. Participants were based in seven countries: Belgium, Finland, Germany, Ireland, New Zealand, Switzerland and the USA. Laser fluence, repetition rate and pulse duration effects on paint ablation

Abstract The efficiency (mm3/(J pulse)) of laser ablation of paint was investigated with nanosecond pulsed Nd:YAG lasers (λ = 532 nm) as a function of the following laser beam parameters: pulse repetition rate (1–10,000 Hz), laser fluence (0.1–5 J/cm2) and pulse duration (5 ns and 100 ns). In our study, the best ablation efficiency (η ≅ 0.3 mm3/J) was obtained with the highest repetition rate (10 kHz) at the fluence F = 1.5 J/cm2. This ablation efficiency can be associated with heat accumulation at high repetition rate, which leads to the ablation threshold decrease. En este trabajo se abordan ideas pseudocientíficas en torno a la influencia de la Luna en nuestro planeta. Para ello se analiza si los libros de Física de Bachillerato y de Educación Superior tratan la influencia de la gravedad de la Luna en la Tierra y cómo lo hacen. Para el análisis se utiliza una muestra de 17 libros de textos de Física de Bachillerato y 17 utilizados en cursos de ciencia e ingeniería (13 de Física, 2 de Óptica y 2 de Astronomía) de distintos años de publicación. Jauniešu delinkvence, tās sekas uz sabiedrību un jauniešu veselību, un labklājību vienmēr ir bijuši nozīmīgi temati. Kā arī delinkvences veicinošie riska faktori, kas attiecas uz jaunieša apkārtējo vidi – ģimene un vienaudžu ietekme. Bakalaura mērķis ir noskaidrot, kādas saistības ir starp delinkventu uzvedību ar bērna pārraudzību un pielāgošanos vienaudžiem jauniešu izlasē vecumā 14 – 18 gadiem. Pētījuma izlasi veido 133 jaunieši (M vecums = 16,2). Izlasi pārstāvēja 74 meitenes un 59 zēni.
