Mythical Creatures, the Making of Wearing Apparel, and the Landscape

Stones where mythical creatures carry out work connected with wearing apparel appear in publications on the mythological stones of Lithuania and Belarus. This theme is not so widely considered in Latvian research literature. The aim of this work is to show that in Latvian folklore, by natural (stone, tree, stump, water, cave, etc) and man-made objects of the cultural space (threshing barn, cemetery, hill-fort, etc), mythical creatures tailor, spin, knit and mend for people or for themselves. En el presente artículo se analizan desde el punto de vista estilístico y musical, las canciones de boda que se encuentran en el Cancionero de la Lírica Popular Asturiana, obra del musicólogo Eduardo Martínez Torner. Además, se contextualiza y se esbozan unas líneas biográficas sobre su figura para acercarnos un poco más a la vida del folklorista asturiano.

Este artículo analiza cinco antiguas canciones folclóricas europeas, en versiones de músicos contemporáneos, como ejemplo de la conexión neorromántica existente entre la creación artística de finales del s. XIX y principios del s. XX, y la obra de algunos artistas en activo desde las últimas décadas del s. XX en adelante. Para el correcto estudio de estas obras, pertenecientes al género fantástico, y entender adecuadamente su temática debemos hacer uso del legado proporcionado por las ciencias esotéricas. (A)

<p>German written sources are representing information on masquerade traditions in Latvia already in the 17th century - Latvian mask parades in 1636 are described by the Kurzeme and Zemgale Superintendent, P. Este artículo pretende dar a conocer la aportación del compositor Amando Blanquer Ponsoda al Concurso de Composición de Música Festera de Alcoy, a través del análisis estilístico y musical del pasodoble Musical Apolo (1956) y de la marcha mora L¿embaixador (1959) que fueron primeros premios en este certamen. El análisis musical desarrollado se ha centrado principalmente en los elementos más importantes de la Música Festera como son: el ritmo, la melodía y la forma, sin descuidar otros como la armonía o la instrumentación, constituyendo los primeros el eje base del estudio analítico. Este artículo pretende acercar al lector la aportación del compositor Jose María Ferrero Pastor (1926-1987) a la música de Moros y Cristianos de Alcoy. En él se analizarán desde el punto de vista estilístico y musical, las tres marchas moras que fueron primeros premios en el Concurso de Composición de Música Festera de Alcoy : El Berberisch (1961), Bon Capità (1971) y El Kabila (1980).
Estudio y análisis musical de Mahomet (1882): primer pasodoble de la Historia de la música de Moros y Cristianos

El presente artículo aborda el análisis musicológico y estilístico del primer pasodoble de la historia de la música de Moros y Cristianos, Mahomet, del compositor alcoyano Juan Cantó Francés (1853-1906). Se realiza una pequeña aproximación a la ciudad de Alcoy como génesis de la fiesta y la música de Moros y Cristianos. Asimismo, se detallan las distintas acepciones del término Música Festera y su implicación en la mencionada celebración y se describen brevemente los géneros musicales que forman parte de este arte musical: la marcha cristiana, la marcha mora y el pasodoble.
