Production of N*(1535) and N*(1650) in Λc→K¯0ηp(πN) decay
2018
To study the properties of the ${N}^{*}$(1535) and ${N}^{*}$(1650), we calculate the mass distributions of $MB$ in the ${\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Lambda}}}_{c}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\overline{K}}^{0}MB$ decay, with $MB=\ensuremath{\pi}N(I=1/2),\phantom{\rule{0.28em}{0ex}}\ensuremath{\eta}p$, and $K\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Sigma}}(I=1/2)$. We do this by calculating the tree-level and loop contributions, mixing pseudoscalar-baryon and vector-baryon channels using the local hidden gauge formalism. The loop contributions for each channel are calculated using the chiral unitary approach. We observe that for the $\ensuremath{\eta}N$ mass distribution only the ${N}^{*}$(1535) is seen, with the ${N}^{*}$…
Comparative analysis of muon-capture and 0νββ -decay matrix elements
2020
Average matrix elements of ordinary muon capture (OMC) to the intermediate nuclei of neutrinoless double beta ($0\ensuremath{\nu}\ensuremath{\beta}\ensuremath{\beta}$) decays of current experimental interest are computed and compared with the corresponding energy and multipole decompositions of $0\ensuremath{\nu}\ensuremath{\beta}\ensuremath{\beta}$-decay nuclear matrix elements (NMEs). The present OMC computations are performed using the Morita-Fujii formalism by extending the original formalism beyond the leading order. The $0\ensuremath{\nu}\ensuremath{\beta}\ensuremath{\beta}$ NMEs include the appropriate short-range correlations, nuclear form factors, and higher-order nucleonic weak cu…
A MOLECULAR INTERPRETATION FOR THE $D^*_{s2}(2573)$, THE PREDICTION OF NOVEL EXOTIC CHARMED MESONS AND NARROW N*, Λ* RESONANCES AROUND 4.3 GeV
2011
In this talk we review the vector-vector and vector-baryon interaction within the hidden gauge formalism in a coupled channel unitary approach. The vector-vector interaction is studied for all the sectors not studied before: C = 0; S = 1 (hidden-charm), C = 1, S = 1, and the flavor exotic sectors C = 1; S = -1, 2 and C = 2; S = 0, 1, 2. We find nine states, four of them in the C = 1; S = 1 sector, where one can be identified with the [Formula: see text] and it is interpreted as a D* K* molecular state. The other five resonances are found in the flavor exotic sectors C = 1; S = -1, C = 2; S = 0, 1 and can be considered as [Formula: see text], D* D* and [Formula: see text] molecular states. …
On the interdependence between ground and one-phonon RPA states
1998
Working within a schematic model and in a boson formalism, we provide a descrip tion of the ground and first-excited states of a nuclear system in terms of two independent phonon operators. The description reveals itself quite effective in reproducing the energies of the states. A comparison between these two phonon operators allows us to localize a region where a correct description of these states is compatible with the Random Phase Approximation (RPA) requirement of a single phonon. This region is found to coincide approximately with that spanned by the standard RPA. Outside this region, the two phonons start differing rapidly therefore making the application of the RPA scheme impossible…
Core Polarizabilities in Metals
1982
Linear response formalism within the density-functional scheme is applied in a calculation of core polarizabilities in simple metals. While the core polarizability changes relatively little (around 10%) from its free-ion value in the alkalis, Mg and Al, large increases are found for metals like Ga, Cd, In, and Sn with full d-shells. Low-frequency values for the dynamic polarizability are also obtained.
Presymplectic manifolds and conservation laws
2008
In this paper we make use of a new structure called seeded fibre bundle. This allows us to combine the symplectic formalism and general relativity. A theorem of existence is obtained and some examples and properties are studied.

On the unification of electroweak interactions with gravity
1982
It is shown that the electroweak interactions in the Salam-Weinberg model can be described by a space-time connection form which preserves the space-time metric multiplied by a conformal factor. In addition, one needs an extraSO(2)-connection form. The Dirac field in this formalism is described (after making a certain regularity assumption) by a vierbein field for the space-time metric and a complex scalar field.
SYSTEMATICAL MULTIPARTICLE THEORY AND ITS APPLICATION TO THE FOUR-NUCLEON PROBLEM
1972
Publisher Summary This chapter discusses the systematical multiparticle theory and its application in the four-nucleon problem. The chapter describes the structure of the 2- body and 3-body equations and shows that the generalization to n particles can be accomplished in a natural way. It is a characteristic feature of this approach that the kernel of the occurring integral equations is built up by all subsystem transition operators in an explicit way. One of the important features of the 3-body theory is also achieved in the n-body formalism. This enables the application of the quasiparticle concept in a direct way. The 2-body problem is completely determined by the solution of the Lippman…
Two-Quasiparticle Mixing by the QRPA
2007
In the previous two chapters we introduced two-quasiparticle configuration mixing. The method was based on the QTDA. In this chapter we extend the formalism to the QRPA. We derive the QRPA equations by the equations-ofmotion method. Due to approximations in the derivation the resulting equations do not satisfy a variational principle. The properties of QRPA solutions are similar to those of the particle-hole RPA of Chap. 11.
