The 2010/2011 report was produced under the auspices of the national research programme „National Identity”. The job of the report is to survey the content of individual national belonging in the context of human development. The report particularly focuses on emigration issues, because human development is weakened by a reduction in the size of the country’s population. The fact that people are moving to other countries shows that there is an endless competition among identities, as well as a transformation of those identities. <p>En los últimos años la violencia de género se ha convertido en un problema social de primera magnitud, cobrando especial atención los medios de comunicación por su responsabilidad en la construcción de realidades sociales. El objetivo de este artículo es analizar el tratamiento informativo de la violencia de género y su papel en la construcción de marcos de interpretación que dotan de significado el concepto de violencia de género. Para ello, se ha aplicado el análisis crítico del discurso a las noticias de cuatro televisiones del Estado español en la semana alrededor del Día Internacional contra la Violencia de Género de 2010.</p>

Affective matching of odors and facial expressions in infants: shifting patterns between 3 and 7 months.

Recognition of emotional facial expressions is a crucial skill for adaptive behavior. Past research suggests that at 5 to 7 months of age, infants look longer to an unfamiliar dynamic angry/happy face which emotionally matches a vocal expression. This suggests that they can match stimulations of distinct modalities on their emotional content. In the present study, olfaction-vision matching abilities were assessed across different age groups (3, 5 and 7 months) using dynamic expressive faces (happy vs. disgusted) and distinct hedonic odor contexts (pleasant, unpleasant and control) in a visual-preference paradigm. The Greenland shark Somniosus microcephalus—Hemoglobins and ligand-binding properties

A large amount of data is currently available on the adaptive mechanisms of polar bony fish hemoglobins, but structural information on those of cartilaginous species is scarce. This study presents the first characterisation of the hemoglobin system of one of the longest-living vertebrate species (392 +/- 120 years), the Arctic shark Somniosus microcephalus. Three major hemoglobins are found in its red blood cells and are made of two copies of the same a globin combined with two copies of three very similar beta subunits. The three hemoglobins show very similar oxygenation and carbonylation properties, which are unaffected by urea, a very important compound in marine elasmobranch physiology.…

Resumen El objetivo del presente trabajo fue estudiar el efecto que tienen las motivaciones para consultar y escribir e-WOM sobre el compromiso con el e-WOM y la influencia de dicho compromiso en la adopción del e-WOM consultado. Para analizar estas relaciones, se realizó una investigación empírica aplicada en el contexto de los restaurantes. El ámbito geográfico fue Ecuador, con una muestra de 461 consumidores. Abstract Common fixed point results are obtained in 0-complete partial metric spaces under various contractive conditions, including g-quasicontractions and mappings with a contractive iterate. In this way, several results obtained recently are generalized. Examples are provided when these results can be applied and neither corresponding metric results nor the results with the standard completeness assumption of the underlying partial metric space can.
