Configurational theory in traditional manufacturing industries: a new model of high-performing small and medium-sized enterprises

The goal of this study is to provide a model of high-performing small and medium-sized companies to address the new environmental challenges in traditional manufacturing industries. Adopting a configurational logic and following an inductive approach based on four high-performing firms, this paper provides new empirical evidence on how the steps followed by these firms are adjusted to the high-performance models prescribed by the literature. In doing so, it also offers a dynamic view of the interrelationships between the strategy and the new conditions of the environment. Baldwin’s Another Country is a deeply rhythmic novel, developing its musical theme through its characters and openly claiming its debt towards musical expression. Is it possible to translate this form of musical mimesis? The question involves taking into account comparative phonology and stylistics as well as the study of the linguistic means by which writing can create a rhythmic feel (repetitions, alliterations, rhymes, similarity of words, etc.). A partir de la localización del testamento, inventario de bienes y almonedas posteriores tras el fallecimiento del pintor Joan Moreno en la ciudad de Valencia en 1448, se analiza la importancia del dibujo en los talleres del gótico internacional. La mención específica de dibujos del alemán Marçal de Sas (†1410) y de un florentino que podría ser Gherardo Starnina (c. 1354-1409-13) ofrece la posibilidad de analizar esta documentación en relación con el cuaderno de dibujos de los Uffizi (inv. 2264F-2281F, 18304F-18306F, 18324). For the participation in the frequency control of the system, power converters can be controlled with different strategies and methods, sharing the common concept of virtual inertia capability. In this work, a sensitivity analysis of two main categories of converter controls with virtual inertia is presented. The considered schemes are a grid-following current vector control with additional virtual inertia block and a grid-forming control scheme based on virtual synchronous machine concept.
